Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked through the official website of the Bernina Red Train.
The route is without intermediate stops and lasts approximately 2 and a half hours (Tirano-Saint Moritz). Everything well organised. We were welcomed by the guide Luigi, who recorded attendance and assigned seats in the carriage assigned to the group.
An unforgettable journey in which different landscapes follow one another: you go from dense coniferous forests to lunar landscapes, in which there is only snow and walls of ice, blindingly white, and even waterfalls and frozen lakes.
Luigi is a very knowledgeable guide, with a lot of historical and naturalistic knowledge, able to make you appreciate the slow journey in the Swiss Alps even more.
A fairytale experience to have at least once in your life.

Without a doubt we were lucky enough to have a splendid day immediately after a few days of rain, but the view from the train is spectacular!
Breathtaking views of the Alps, with lots of snow!
The Bernina Express is faster and allows you to get off but you have to consider that the windows do not open, while on the regular train this is possible

Very nice trip, comfortable and clean armchairs. Unique panorama, mountains, waterfalls, streams not to be missed!!!!! I will do it again in another season to have another scenario that is certainly equally captivating. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!

What this journey offers you from the point of view of the show is definitely a unique thing. See places and views you've never seen! The frozen lake of Ospizio is definitely a unique thing!
All this is ruined by the organization.
Buying tickets in advance, inserting names and not at a price at all cheap makes you think you travel quietly and have your own seat..... absolutely wrong! Busy train, standing travellers and stops conditioned by not finding a place on subsequent journeys. Impossible to admire the view during the trip nor take the much recommended photos because of the people standing there who have no place to sit.
Absolutely to review the organization should be sold tickets in such a number as to guarantee the seat and travel as the cost of the ticket should be seen!!!!!!

spectacular in winter with snow. I recommend it as a couple or as a family. Tickets should not be bought online (we were unable to find them) but on site so arrive early/evening early. Experience that lasts a day to enjoy the landscapes/use the tickets. If you want, in winter it is not necessary to be equipped for snow because you may not get off the (heated) train

Where can you take a more scenic train ride? The Bernina Express between Tirano and Chur is the best. The Red cars have the scenic windows allowing a panoramic view. Of course it is best to ride during the day, but the twilight hours do provide a nice view of the lights in towns down in the valleys. The service was ok. Order when you can. Even if you don't want anything, order a drink because it could be a while before they get back to you.

Arrived with great enthusiasm to catch the 9:00 train. At 8 we were already at the station but we realized that we would hardly be able to get on.
The crowd was really huge... the same for the following train. Instead, we managed to get on the 10:16 train, where they added a couple of carriages. Obviously standing, we remained by the door window so we could see the views. Truly indescribable, it's a shame that this organizational method ruined everything.
Ok, it's a regional one, but not even in my university days something like this has ever happened to me. If I had known this beforehand I would have booked the seats….
The return was a similar experience.
Obviously we didn't make any intermediate stops, we were afraid of staying stranded.

Terrible organization...they sell more tickets than seats...standing for more than two hours is hard. Rude cabin crew. No ticket checks. I wouldn't go back

With club magellano TERRIBLE TO SAY LITTLE, terrible, terrible organization, and the good thing is that I wrote an email to say that for a tour (as they call it) they are asking too much, they even replied in a rude way. I'm just telling you that it's not worth it with club magellaNO, they give you an itinerary and that's not it, with them you can be sure that you won't see the city as promised and what's more you won't have time to eat in the typical local places as they say, but they take you to a truck stop advising you to get something there, because there's no time to eat afterwards

Buongiorno,
