This would have to be one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The train climbs up to a height of 2253 metres to the highest railway station in Europe. Watching the train climb the viaduct, ascend the mountain and then pass frozen lakes and glaciers is a sight you can never forget.... More

We took a daytrip on the Bernina Express to St. Moritz. The first class car was comfortable and the extra tall windows provided great photo opportunities. It was a nice trip for a day excursion.

This a must do! We were in the 2nd class section of the normal red train but found it great for taking photos as the windows can be pulled down. As this section does not have reserved seating make sure you arrive early to get seats. Even in early Dec the train was full. The sights seen along the route... More

We took this tour from Milan with Zani Tours for the day and although a very long day in total (14 hours) it had to be the most incredible and beautiful scenery we have seen. The Bernina express train took about 2 hours in total but there wasn't a minute where we didn't enjoy every view from either side of... More

We took this trip as a day package from Milan with Zani tours. With Swiss timing the train left the Tirano train station spot on at 13.00. We were in a second class carriage which had large windows which can be opened for unhindered photography. The scenery all the way up to St Moritz is just wonderful. It started snowing... More
