Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Most visitors will see Lake Sevan from Sevanavank, which gives you the height for panoramic views. The lake is of enormous importance to Armenia, both historically symbolic and economic. It covers one 6th of the country and sits elevated at nearly 2km above sea level. It provides Armenia with drinking & irrigation water, electricity, tourism and a plethora of delicious fish.
As one of the three original Armenian lakes - the only one still within Armenian territory ! - and the home of Sevanavank, it remains a very special place for Armenians (who, in general, can hold very nationalistic views).

This is the largest lake in the Caucasus and an interesting location, with two churches located on top of the hill. Several recreational activities can be taken along the lake. Boat tours also available, although do not seem to really be essential.

Lovely lake with the option of taking a boat out on it. Nice view when you walk up to the top of hill. Eateries around the lake to sit and enjoy. Not sure about swimming but imagine we could have if our guide had told us we were going there.

Beautiful lake, the biggest in the Caucasus region and the second highest in the world after Titicaca, therefore temperatures there are lower than in Yerewan despite being so close to it.

This is a beautiful lake and also very high. Lake Titicaca is the only one higher.
Standing on the peninsula, there are great views around and it is decorated with so many wild flowers.

This is totally worth the time to visit. The scenery of the lake as viewed from the Sevanavank monasteries is just breathtaking. Pictures just don’t do any justice to the beauty of Lake Sevan and its surroundings.

Beautiful views all around, there are restaurants nearby. Just be sure of the bill as they tend to overcharge by inflating the price or the quantity. Cheap gimmick to get some easy money.

Must visit . The view is breathtaking and so peaceful and serene . The walk up to the lake has lots of small shops with unique souvenirs to check out .

Amazing scene, view from the top is stunning, boat ride is a must and you can negotiatethe price, few restaurants with direct view on the lake but food quality can be better. Best attraction in Yerevan for us.

There are great views along the lake and up towards the mountains. It's a huge place and there are some tourist attractions around it like hotels, restaurants and tourist boat rides.
