Sheki is the old capital of Azerbaijan. While visiting handicraft shops, we passed by the huge and strong wall of Sheki which was a part of the Fortress.

Well thick walls, new masonry. Not a lot to tell about, it's a fortress, good for kids, take a peek and a picture and that's it.

The Sheki castle encompasses several buildings, such as the palace, a church, a restaurant, and small folk souvenir shops. On the way up, you can check the caravansarai, and buy the unique local halva.
