Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful experience. We crossed from Malta on the Catamaran, very smooth sailing then drove to Catania. Stopped for some shopping at Centro Sicilia. We then drove to then the top of Mount Etna. Had lunch 16euro menu of the day. We drove down to our Hotel Airone at Zafferana. Next day we went to Savoca for granita and Forza D agro for lunch. Wonderful place. Next day we returned to Forza d Agro. After that day we drove to Randazzo and back to the top of Mount Etna to another lunch at La Cantoniera. Friday last day and long drive back to Pozzallo. Perfect break for us with our car.

We were at the festival on 6th October 19 in zafferana. It was very busy but we appreciated the town for its views down to the coast as well as the shops, restaurants and entertainment that the festival brought to the town. Very nice area.

This palazzo is located in the centre of town. You can find the tourist information centre here. The staff are helpful and will give you a map of the town.

There really isn't much to see. The town square is nice and there is a small open area with several shops and restaurants across the street that also has a nice view. The church is worth going into if it is open. But other than that (15 minutes) don't plan on an extended visit.

We were in Zafferana on 2 different days, the first a Sunday during a festival that drew thousands, or so it seemed. So we saw very little. We went back a few days later and walked around the town, seeing the sights. Really enjoyed that visit.
