Wonderful collection

This is a very nice collection of interesting cars housed in a charming garage. Each has a written detailed history. Lots of Barbados rally and sports car history and memorabilia as well.

Enjoyable morning
Feb 2020
We were walking from our hotel and noticed this motor museum in Hastings. The owner himself, Bill Mallalieu, showed around his amazing collection. My husband enjoyed talking to Bill about his varied car collection as well pictures, memorablia and his memories. They also discussed at length the demise of the great British car industry. Well worth a visit.

Amazing collection!!

What an amazing collection. All are pieces of art and are wonderful to look at. I am sad I missed the owner as he is apparently only there in the AM and we went just after lunch. Worth it for anyone who loves cars, design, art and more!

I hate cars but....
Oct 2019
We just loved this place! I really do NOT like cars and have little interest in them. However, the owner of this amazing collection gave us a tour and enthusiastically talked about why he had chosen each of the collection models. What was really amazing was the setting: not a shiney museum but a working space which showed the cars off in a realisitc, authentic space. Well worth doing whether you're an enthusiast or not!!

Diverse & interesting collection
Sep 2019
Not that big a collection but every car has a story attached which the owner is glad to impart.

The stories are fascinating and make the collection come to life, the 400,000 plus mile Volvo that the owner used to rally in Jamaica, the Rover that was stored away for years to avoid being seized by the taxman, the Daimler limo that the Queen has actually sat in, the Willys Jeep that saw action in Korea etc. etc.

The tour is excellent value for around the hour you'll spend there and the owner is fascinating and certainly knows his cars.

Highly recommended!

A little gem, hard to find but so worth a visit.

We came across Pavilion Court whilst walking along the main road, a sign outside said it housed the Mallalieu Motor Collection, so we wandered in to try and find it, unfortunately it was closed and we were told to return when the proprietor was there. This increased our curiosity and we returned a few days later. Mr Mallalieu was our guide, this is his collection and a lifetimes work, he knows every car’s history from the grandest Bentley to the tiny Wolsey Hornet. I was fascinated and I wouldn’t call myself a petrol head, every car has been lovingly restored. I am so glad we made the effort. It is open from 8am to 3pm.

As you walk through the gates go to your left and there is the office you will be greeted by the owner who will walk you to the garage we’re his collection of cars are.
Don’t expect a massive collection the cars are his own purchased over many years,he will take you round and tell you all about the various models and he has and some very interesting stories and pictures.
It will take you about 2hrs to chat and walk round well worth a visit.

Our taxi driver had never even heard of this place, but she found it (tucked back in a residential area). If you enjoy classic cars it is worth a visit. Being from the U.S. we found it particularly interesting as most of the cars are British - lots of models that we'd never seen before. The owner is on-hand to answer questions and talk shop. It is certainly something a little different for your visit to Barbados.
