We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place should be heaving with people on a Friday or Saturday night. But it's not, it's nearly empty and I think I know why.

The owners have clearly gone for an up-market feel. They have certainly achieved that with the decor and vibe. But the prices they charge for drinks is eye-watering. Price for a gin n tonic and a whiskey: $50. Wow. I'll drink beer next time. Asked for a local beer (banks) - they didn't have it. Just expensive imported stuff. 2 beers = $20. See you later. I get 3 banks for $10 only down the road.

Lesson for management: charging eye watering amounts for your drinks does not yield more. I gave you $70 for 2 rounds of drinks and left pissed off, never to return.

Charge less: I drink more. I drink more, I spend more. I have a good time. I come back. Place will fill with punters. Simples.

Ps. Live music amazing. Just felt sorry that they performed to 8 people in a massive venue.

Now changed to Sugar Live now taken over by the owners of the Boatyard & Sharkeys
Visited Thursday when the High Energy band performed who were fantastic with a good DJ playing calypso, soca, reggae as well as chart hits.
20Bds entry beers 8Bds with cocktails around 16bds so not cheap but a banging night out definitely worth a visit. Whilst it was a good atmosphere could have done with a few more in da club, sure this place will kick on to be a success.
Also went on the Saturday when a rock pianist performed, also a good night with ladies free entry blokes 10bds.
Entrance doesn't look inviting but don't be put off

Sugar Ultra brought The Ship, this was well established and an amazing place to spend your night, great food and either live music or disco, it did get a less busy but we all went through recession, sugar ultra had no idea on how St Laurence gap worked, many happy memories of The Ship. I know you cant turn back time but lessons are to be learned!

The inside of the lounge is very nice and modern. But it seems like no matter how late it gets, nobody ever shows up. The dance floor remains pretty empty. This happened on both Thursday and Saturday nights. I would suggest skipping Sugar because it seems like the place only tourists really go to. The music, atmosphere, and attendance leaves more to be desired.

Came here for a bachelorette party and we were the only group that occupied a vip booth. Main dance floor was also pretty empty. Nonetheless, my girls and i had a good time together and with whoever was there.

I liked it was an open place where you can see the night sky. Great atmosphere where people were friendly and just wanted to have fun with no problems. The Dj was Ok that night but he can really get the crowd going with some songs.

A fantastic venue, right in the middle of the Gap, some great music and an amazing vibe once the music gets going, the bars are located towards the edges of the dance floor, if it rains which is often late at night, a short dash gets you under cover, but normally people just party on through it. be back here in Sept 2015
