Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always so nice especially since it's a tomato year, gardener inexhaustible on his passion, magnificent dahlias and all kinds of vegetables and aromatics!!!
Too bad there aren't more opportunities to taste different varieties, producers' sales prices are exorbitant in my opinion for local products in peak season!!
No cooking demonstrations this year.....
Great event every year!!

3 nights with delicious and copious breakfast. Fantastic place, beautiful swimming pool, beautiful and large rooms, very well decorated, very good service, very quiet place. Perfect location between all the Castels. Price more than ok. Will come back without any hesitations !

We wanted to go see some of the very well known castles within the Loire Valley, but due to difficulty in getting to them, we were unable to see them. I did lots of research to find other castles that we could go visit that aren't as popular and came across this one.

We caught the train from Tours and it was just an extra 20-minute walk to get there through the streets of the old town, which in itself was very quaint. It was quite easy to get there!

This castle is just stunning and the gardens are beautiful. We went during the low season and in the winter, so the gardens weren't in full bloom, but it was still incredibly charming. It is definitely a castle that should be given more attention as it is a beautiful one that should not be missed!

We visited the Chateau as I am a keen gardener who grows tomatoes. Though hardly expecting advanced planting, there was nothing in ground, tomatoes in hot houses but the most disappointing part was the total absence of staff or anyone doing anything. The shop lady was helpful but this was not her area and the gardens were deserted. We wandered but gained little. Next day's visit to Villandry showed the season was not a total loss at this time and so I felt cheated we came hoping for at least some insight of the Chateau's work but gained nothing.

We biked with our four kids (ages 8-18) on rented bikes, from Amboise to this chateau. Since it is more of a hotel, and not a public tourist spot, it was very peaceful be on the grounds. We couldn't tour the chateau, since were not guests, but we paid a small fee in the gift shop to access the grounds, which were something to see! The trees, the landscaping, and the old moat were awesome. We had apple pie in the cafe before biking back to Amboise. I woul

We stayed at the château for some days. In the first day we visited the gardens, with the tomato plantings, the many trees and natural spaces. The whole is very nice, well kept, and this makes the château a very nice place to visit. Worth going.

Early in the season but the chef was still keen to show us the garden and help us explore and appreciate various varieties in the garden. Our daughters were lucky enough to feed a 2 week old lamb!! Delicious fresh soup, salad and bruschetta for lunch. Beautiful setting. Book ahead for lunch or dinner!!

Another chateau on the Loire, well it is above the Cher just before it joins the Loire.

This chateau boasts a collection of tomato varieties unique in France and perhaps Europe. Many of them were growing in the garden and displaying fruits of different sizes and colours. Red, yellow, purple, orange, striped, round, oval, pepper shaped. What a variety developed over the five hundred years since they were brought back from South America.
