We visited Monreale on an early monday morning, before many others had arrived. The church is amazing. The mosaics are probably the most beautiful I’ve seen - especially because they are intakt all around the upper walls. We climbed to the roof where you can...More

I think that this is the most spectacular Duomo I have ever seen! It rivals St Peter’s in Rome ( although smaller) for its golden frescoes and mosaics. It is amazing if you stop to spend time attending church mass

The ticket office was not the most helpful, they need signs ahead so that you know the options otherwise you feel rushed at the desk. We just bought the ‘all-in’ ticket as it was not too expensive. Be aware that the roof closes at lunchtime....More

The Bus is infested with Pickpockets who are in Collusion with the Driver. I was robbed in the presence of my daughter on the 389.

From tour bus parking lot, you can either walk up 92 steps or take a taxi to reach Duomo. Taking the steps was not too difficult. The interior mosaics are gorgeous. Highly recommend visiting. Nice ceramic shop on square too.

Visited the Duomo today with friends. The mosaics inside the church are very nice. You are allowed to take pictures inside the church without any problems.

It is still Palermo so you would want to make sure the car was properly locked and secure and the luggage not visible from the outside. This is a major tourist attraction in a city with a high crime rate so you would need to... More
