About
Winter lays snow on hills rising over pagoda roofs. Summer colours local fields barley-gold. All year round spring water bubbles in the glen. As alive as that day in 1886 when our founder William laid the first stones that built one of the oldest family-owned Scotch whisky distilleries. Join us at Glenfiddich, in the Valley of the Deer. Glenfiddich Distillery Visitor Centre offers distillery tours, distillery gift shop and whisky lounge serving whiskies and other refreshments.

    Good tasting
The distillery is very neat and looks very cool. We could not do a tour, but the tasting was lovely. We took a bit of whisky's that were funky and they turned out great. The atmosphere was pleasant and at the end we got a free fancy whisky. This is a lovely stop to taste the Scottish water.

    Fabulous day out!!
We visited here today for my mums birthday and it was brilliant. From the warm welcome from the lady on reception to Brian and his abundant knowledge of the distilling process and whisky it was very memorable. The facilities are incredible and so clean and the hand wash smells amazing!! Would definitely recommend to anyone who has never been to a tour to do one here. With extra special thanks to Brian for treating mum for her birthday with a taster of the 28yr old malt!

    Glenfiddich Distillery
The drive to the distillery was remarkable in itself. The tour was very informative and learnt about how liquor is taxed in the UK and how it handles the disappearing Angel's share. You may walk away wit a cask f you can lift one up on your back! There ws a small ask from my birth yea values at about 2 million pounds

    Warm Welcome
Had a lovely return visit to this distillery today with my husband , 1st time since pre 2020 when we did the tour and can recommend this , its very interesting , but today we went for coffee and cake and of course another bottle of Whisky .We were made feel very welcome by staff and enjoyed the coffee cakes by the log fire in the Whisky Lounge ,we had a couple of drams from the bottles of interest to us before making our purchase . We have been 3 times now and always have had a warm welcome and all our questions answered from knowledgeable staff . Well worth a visit if you are around the area .

We went on the tour with Tori who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, personable and patient answering all our questions. Highly recommended, money well spent and value for money. The tasting session was a real highlight, four amazing whiskeys. Thank you Tori👍🏻

    Outstanding
We booked ourselves in for a 1.5 hours tour on a Friday afternoon. We spent 2 hours with an amazing guide, taking us through the history of Glenfiddich, past the different steps in the distilling process into the warehouse. We finished with a lovely tasting of 4 Glenfiddich whiskies. An outstanding visit and a must-do.

One of the best distillery tours in Scotland
We went to Glenfiddich not quite knowing what to expect. We've done many, many distillery tours over the years, but none in a production facility getting close to the size of this one. We were concerned that the tour could be too corporate and impersonal. We needn't have worried. Morag, our guide, is one of the best in the business. Friendly, knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and totally enthusiastic about the whisky. She totally made the experience as good as it was to the extent that we're now considering coming back to the Balvenie distillery on another occasion and where she also works, and specifically asking for her in person. Thanks Morag!

    Warm welcome and excellent service
Staff could not have been nicer, of all the distilleries we visited this weekend definitely the best experience by far. The shop staff truly went above and beyond to and were very knowledgeable about the products. Bar staff were very good also. Would highly recommend!!

    Solera Deconstructed Tour!
If you’re going to tour the distillery may I suggest the Solera Deconstructed Tour. Here you get a 2.5 hour comprehensive tour of the facilities including the storage building where the barrels are aged. To see a 1957 vintage that will go for somewhere near £800,000 a bottle is quite breathtaking. Plus the tasting and a chance to make your own special combination of flavors make the £75.00 admission price well worth it. The grounds are beautiful and the steam distillation building is first rate. It’s an excellent way to spend an afternoon.

A fantastic morning at the distillery with the warmest of welcomes from the reception, to an exceptional tour from Brian our guide who, considering has only worked here for around 6 weeks, had the most extensive knowledge and abundance of information. Brian was a true ambassador for Glenfiddich and was an absolute delight and pleasure to spend our time with. A family trip celebrating an 80th birthday and a 27th wedding anniversary and all tastes and interests catered for. The tasting was fantastic and we were then welcomed by the nicest of team staff in the shop. Ending the visit with a trip to the on site restaurant was also excellent and would highly recommend everything about the tour. So friendly, factual, fun and interesting.

Four of us, two couples, visited during a stay in Cullen, booked lunch and a whisky tasting.
Due to Covid things were a wee bit strange but the staff on arrival were excellent and very friendly and we were dealt with quickly.
At the restaurant we were shown to a table near the door, which because of "Covid Regulations" could not be closed and a snell wind blew through the room.
But "Super Mo" came to the rescue and we were shown upstairs after we had ordered.
From there on in she could not do enough for us.
After lunch we were shown into the Whisky Lounge and ordered two "Flights" of malt. (a flight is four whiskys on a wooden board) One Balvanie and one Glenfoddich. The "whisky master",Charlie, (I think) explained how to taste and in which order, youngest to oldest and left two very happy old codgers to it.
Our wifes declined to join us in the tasting. (More for us.)
Working left to right along the flight we sampled some of the best drams in Scotland. Charlie imparted some of his knowedge of whisky and the industry and also introduced us to a blended malt named "Smoky Monkey" which went down a treat.
All in all a great visit and great staff who, during trying times, went beyond the call of duty to ensure we enjoyed ourselves.
Thank you Mo, Charie and all the staff.
P.S. I came home with a bottle of Balvanie.

I stayed at the Mash Tun in Aberlour and got a taxi to the distillery which cost £18.

It was very easy to check in, the welcome staff talked you through the Covid paperwork / precautions and then gave me an overview of the tour.

The group was welcomed by Brian our tour guide for the day, we found out about how the Glenfiddich brand was marketed and what each of the key family members did to make the product what it is today - I personally found this very interesting. A tour of the distillery followed. Brian was exceptional in his knowledge of all of the distillery processes, all questions were comprehensively answered, extra information and anecdotes were also provided which added to our experience.

The final phase of the tour was a tasting session. Once again I found Brian to be very knowledgeable, he provided hints, tips and asked questions on our own tasting experience ensuring we were getting the most out of the tasting. I have a small whisky collection and once again Brian provided hints, tips and advice on how to compliment and increase my collection.

Overall a very enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

With the distillery not able to offer tours due to covid my wife and I called today to visit the Glenfiddich shop. The reception security man told us we could visit the restaurant for a coffee in the Whisky Lounge so we decided to give it a go.

Immediately the Whisky Lounge impressed, a large hall with wood paneling, log fire, leather chairs etc. The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent in these lovely surroundings and cost no more than a high street coffee shop.

Finally the staff were very friendly and informative about the distillery despite not being able to show us around.

Fully recommended for a memorable coffee in the current difficult times.

My boyfriend and I booked a tour here for his birthday, I am not a whisky drinker so I was skeptical. But!!! The tour was amazing, our tour guide Linda was very friendly and knowledgeable. She shared the distilleries history with us through fun stories, and the technology the distillery uses for the tour was really great as well. Videos shown were quick, and relevant, and the tasting at the end was delicious, we were given 4 different types, and Linda continued to impress with her knowledge of each one, telling us flavor profiles and price points. Additionally, the distillery was very careful with Covid restrictions, it felt safe and sanitary the whole time. Overall I would recommend this distillery tour to anyone travelling to Scotland!

Brilliant distillery tour today at Glenfiddich Distillery with the very attentive Brian our tour guide who was so knowledgeable about Glenfiddich and the history of the brand/whisky. We spent a lot of time learning about the history of the whisky and the Grant family behind the Glenfiddich brand including beautiful videos showing the history. Brian was a brilliant host, he is a credit to the distillery and we both really enjoyed the tour and the tasting at the end. Thanks again Brian for a wonderful tour, one of the best we have ever been on and we’ve done quite a few!

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in Speyside, and the Glenfiddich distillery tour was the top of our agenda when we started planning our staycation. In summary, the tour was absolutely fantastic, and we enjoyed every moment of it!

The staff take great care when it comes to Covid, health and safety, mask wearing, and social distancing; I was most reassured with their practices.

The tour itself was fascinating and, although it wasn't my first distillery tour, it was wonderful learning all about the history of this particular distillery, as well as finding out more about William Grant and family. From the building of the first distillery, to the history behind the Balvenie and Kininvie distilleries, the tour provides an amazing insight into this family-run business, and how generations have looked after this formidable local treasure.

The staff are, quite simply, wonderful. They're friendly, professional, and thoroughly knowledgeable about the whisky making process; it's clear they take pride and are passionate about their jobs.

As I was the designated driver, I was delighted to receive my tasting samples to take home with me, and I'm still enjoying them a couple of weeks later (I'm saving them!)

I'm delighted to recommend the Glenfiddich distillery to anyone who's interested in learning more about this wonderful process (and finding out more about this extraordinary family at the same time). I'll likely return the next time I'm in or around Dufftown.

We visited Glenfiddich distillery after a trip out of Keith on the Whisky line (highly recommended)
The visitors centre is just a short walk away from the railway station so it made sense.
This was the first time I had been to the still since 1987 and I was highly impressed with the tour that we got. ( Booked in advance). The new still house they have added in recent years is just awesome .
Our guide for the tour was very enthusiastic and knowledgable on all aspects of the History of Glenfiddich . He also had great knowledge in the art of whisky making.
He managed to impart this knowledge in an interesting and humorous manner.
We all enjoyed the whisky tasting session at the end of the tour. My personal favourite was the 15 year old 🥃😊You got 4 drams to try which was really good value for your £20 admission fee.
I have to confess to spending a small fortune in the distillery shop on the way out.
The tour ended with just enough time to get back to the station for a cup of tea and a fancy piece at the sidings restaurant ( highly recommended) before the return journey on the Whisky train to Keith . We enjoyed a few more drams and roosty nails before we arrived.
Great day out. 🥃🥃🥃

First class tour with so much information and a good look around the different areas of the distillery. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour ended with a tasting of three different malts, making it a great value tour at £10 each! Possibly the best distillery tour in Moray.

My husband and I took a tour with my 29 year old son, his girlfriend and our almost 17 year old son. The tour was okay, unfortunately the tour guide, lovely as she was, didn't speak loud enough and didn't wait for all the tour to gather in certain areas.
We all paid £20 each, yet there was nothing to offer my youngest son in the way of refreshment; all other visitors on the tour received 4 whisky samples and were even offered extra for those with special occasions, but my son wasn't offered anything except water. I feel the charge was rather steep, given he received no samples.
My son asked if his dad could have his samples but they were quickly whipped away!
Having taken many other tours I feel this was average.
The ladies toilets are beautiful though!
Unfortunately the cafe/restaurant was closed.
