Green Olive Tours has departures from Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, & Tel Aviv. The company is a cooperative of Israelis and Palestinians, and is a social enterprise focusing on cultural and people-to-people experiences in Palestine an Israel, visiting religious and historical sites, villages, refugee camps, and off-the–beaten track locations.

Our guides are knowledgeable and illuminate the culture, politics and history of the Palestinian and Israeli people. Each day-trip is unique. You might find yourself having lunch with a Palestinian or Bedouin family one day, then meeting a Samaritan priest the next. We offer daily tours and multi-day experiences that include home stays in Bethlehem and Palestinian villages. Our tours benefit the local people.

I went on the tour of Hebron- just Hebron. The idea of it was entirely to gain political perspective, not sightseeing. So we had an Israeli ex-military guide (not Breaking the Silence but similar perspective) whose name I can't remember, and a Palestinian guide named Mohammed (SP?). They traded off at points because there are places Palestinians cannot go, and... More

Visiting Ramallah on a saturday is the easiest way to get there as there are no check points control and you can pass through quickly, without having to wait in long queues. You have to visit the tomb of Arafat and stroll in the city. The view to Ramallah is astonishing, and breathtaking. It was a unique experience to visit... More

Joined a Green Olive tour of Bethlehem and Hebron in October last which was a wonderful experience. Special praise goes to Hisham who was one of the best guides I have ever encountered. Easy-going, informative and a pleasure to deal with. He treated our small group like family members. Thanks Hisham!

We had an excellent experience with Green Olive Tours, and in particular with Jehanne Ela, who booked our tour, and Amro, our guide. We are a Canadian-Jewish family with 3 children, ages 12, 9, and 3. My husband and I have both lived in Israel in the past, but this was our children's first visit. We wanted to give our... More

Lyman G (who also reviewed the tour) and I took a full day tour of Jerusalem with Green Olive. We were staying in Tel Aviv and so the day started early with a taxi pick-up in Jerusalem at their arranged location (tip: ask them to pick you up at your hotel--it seems like it should be do-able but we didn't... We did a five day private tour, with four nights at a home stay. The tour was everything we could have hoped for, exceeding our expectations. Our tours had excellent itineraries focusing on the socio-political dimensions of the sites and cities we visited with extremely knowledgable and flexible guides. For anyone interested in learning more about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, more... More

We really enjoyed our Tour to Nablus and felt safe at any time. Everything from being picked up to being droped off- it was all very well organized! Our guide was fantastic- even though he spoke quite fast - during this one day tour we got a great insight view into life in Nablus. Thank you so much! You did... More

I highly recommend their services. Booking on line was very easy and reaching out to them when I made a booking error was simple. Resolution of my mistake was quickly dealt with. The guides we had for each of our day tours were superb, personable and very knowledgeable. Transportation services were excellent even coming in from Tel Aviv. I will... More

I just took the Green Olive all day Jerusalem tour. the tour included a morning tour of the Old City of Jerusalem and after lunch the tour focused on East Jerusalem. In looking for a tour of Jerusalem, I was trying to find a tour that did not focus on a biblical walk down memory lane. The tour I took... More

A tour of greater Jerusalem led by Yaniv, a motivated powerfully spoken Israeli guide with a passion for social justice in Jerusalem. Outstanding overall, would recommend it to anyone wanting to understand the political situation of the city.
