I almost did not go here since I read somewhere that they had a "petting zoo". In fact their animals are all rescues; typically animals that were purchased illegally as babies. I was thrilled to see these animals in a decent placement. They were fascinating...More

Kinda had to go here because older couple in our tour group to Uxmal insisted. Most interesting part was live animals. Otherwise, a bit dull.

Make sure you have enough time to enjoy this experience. There is even a play ground on site for the kids!

Museum is across the street from Uxmal. There are two captive jaguars, two deer, and several spider monkeys. I dislike seeing such beautiful jaguars penned up in cages and subjected to tourist harassment. The museum should be on your must see lists. Reenactments of Maya...More

for 90 pesos per person we had a 20 minutes special Maya ritual show in the garden + demo on cocoa processing steps and have seen cocoa & banana growing.
