This temple complex reminded us much - if in much smaller form - of the great Angkor Vat complex in Cambodia. It was oh so quiet and nice to walk around the various levels - don't walk too long in the hot sun!

The story of the revival of these temples are reason enough to visit these temples. The ASI has to be given credit to taking on the task of restoring the place and the more people visit, more are its chances of survival.

This place is 35 to 40 Kms from Gwalior. It will make ones day. Was under restoration but now the work has stopped. But whatever has been restored is unbelievable. It should be declared as Heritage Site. Also there are two places ahead to Bateshwar...More

It is possible. The road is bad so best to keep at least 3 to 4 hours to visit Bateshar, Mitaoli and Padavali. Bateshar and Garhi Padavali are close to each other. Mitaoli is a bit away. If you only want to stop at... More
