I took a tour of Piura and this was a site on the city tour. Interesting from a historical stand point. Piura was a major point for consolidating Spanish Conquest goods to Spain. Admiral Grau was a historic figure in Piura and Peru

An interesting museum dedicated to the historical figure Admiral Grau. If you have time and are walking around the downtown square you might consider a visit. Not outstanding but interesting from a historical stand point.

An interesting place to visit for those who want to know more of the recent history of Peru. There is a very fine contemporary bronze statue of Admiral Grau in the garden.
