Today was my first visit to Inside Spa Nelson for some much need "me time". I booked a build your own spa day. The whole process was easy to book even when I needed to rearrange my booking. All the staff were very helpful & my therapist,Caitlin, was very good.
The Spa itself was very clean but a couple of things were needing repair (a foot spa was out of order & 1 of the water jets was not working) but overall it was worth the money.
I definitely recommend a visit & I will book again soon.

Came with my teenage daughter and did the build your own pamper day. The staff were really helpful when booking . On the day we thought the spa itself was lovely, we really enjoyed the jacuzzi and all of the different rooms. It was really clean and fortunately not too busy. The lunch we had was really good too. We enjoyed the treatments that we had booked- a 25 min massage, 25 min facial and a 15 min scalp massage. The problem with them was that they were no way as long as they should have been. We were booked in for 13.15, we were taken though late at 13.20, given 10 mins to change and give info re our skin types etc and we were dressed and back out of the room for 14.10. For £160 I expected to have the time I had paid for. This was really disappointing and let down what was a nice day.

Visited this morning and loved it. The spa is warm, friendly and I felt comfortable being there alone. Emma on Spa Reception was very helpful getting me booked in then I added on a back massage with Caitlin - great! I feel a lot better afterwards :)

A group of friends booked out this whole spa for 2 hours. We were expecting it to be a relaxed experience especially because of the reviews, but the experience was far from it.
When we are arrived, we were told to go straight through. We were not shown where the spa was, nor where the changing rooms were, nor the relaxation room. We were told to carry our own gowns and towels from reception to the changing room (which we were happy to do). However what we were not told was although we had booked our the entire spa, we had to share the changing area with people using the gym and the relaxation room was still being used by other clients. There was no apology nor even a tone of apology, rather we were told that it would be available after our use of the spa, which is contrary to what we were told explicitly when we made our booking.
Throughout the spa experience, every 20 min or so staff popped into the spa area, no idea what for but just gave us rather cold looks. In the middle of the spa experience, a member of staff worked and insisted we made the remainder of the payment immediately rather than at the end. We were baffled that she expected us to walk out in the middle of the experience in our we suits to go and make the remainder of the payment.
Towards the end of the experience my friend was in the spa and was facing the wall having a shower and had exposed her back only (she had a full swimsuit on including legs covered). A member of staff told her off that 'you are not allowed to be naked'. She was not naked, secondly she was facing the wall away from people, and thirdly there were plenty of white women topless in the changing rooms, nothing was said to them.
We were then told by one of the staff that we had left the spa area 'too messy'. We had booked out the whole spa for private use and had not left anything in the spa, so I'm not sure what exactly she was commenting on. Were they expecting us to clean up after using the spa?!
We were also told that we had to carry and bring all our wet towels and gowns back to reception which didn't make any sense at all. Why would we carry wet towels and gowns after getting dressed to reception? What type of shoddy service is this?
To me, it seemed that staff had given us once glance and thought well they look Asian/Muslim, and let's treat them how we want because really are they going to complain? Do they even have the aptitude or skill set to leave us negative feedback? Not realising that amongst us were educated professionals, and even if we were not educated professionals, what type of company treats their clientele in such an appalling manner?
I would also like to make it clear to the senior management that we had plans to bring larger groups of women to this spa for long term private use. If you had treated us with a bit of courtesy and respect, you would have signed yourself up to a long list of wealthy and lovely clientele. Or perhaps you don't want Asian/Muslim clientele, who knows. However, I was expecting alot better from you.

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your private hire Spa Wellness Experience on Saturday.
Our receptionist explained when booking what was included within our private hire package – two hours exclusive use of our spa. It doesn’t include private use of the women’s changing rooms because, as you rightly mentioned, we share these facilities with the gym. Nor does it include the exclusive use of our relaxation room.
Because of the misunderstanding, we made sure the relaxation room was free for you to use throughout your two hours, however we noticed that it was unused for the majority of your session.
We also allowed you to eat your own food in the relaxation room. This is against our usual procedure as we offer our own buffet options; however we wanted you to enjoy your experience so allowed it on this occasion.
We always ask for payment on arrival, however, we were told that other members of your party would be paying the balance when they arrived. In the meantime, the members of your group who were here told us they’d visited before, knew where everything was and went through to get ready. We didn’t get chance to offer a spa tour.
Part way through your session, after no one arrived to pay, a member of our team went in to query this and was told that someone would come out to pay. No one did and we decided not to ask again until the end of the day so you could enjoy the spa in peace.
It’s very upsetting and disheartening to have our team accused of being racist, as we can assure you this is not the case.
Due to health and safety, we carry out regular spa checks (every 15 mins) where a member of staff pops in to make sure everything is running smoothly. The Trust who operates the spa and leisure centre prides themselves on being an equal employer who employs both male and female staff of all backgrounds and ethnicity.
On your request, we made sure that rotas were rearranged so that only female employees carried out the checks during your time in the spa.
We also made a treatment room available for your group to use for your prayers during your visit.
As with the majority of spas, we kindly ask that all visitors return towels and robes to laundry collection points. Ours is located in the reception area. Despite us explaining this, we found a lot of your party’s towels and robes were left lying around the changing rooms, leaving it a mess.
The relaxation room was also left untidy meaning our team had to work late to clean up, despite your group already staying beyond closing time.
It was disappointing to read your review, especially as we went out of our way to make sure your needs were catered for on the day.

I have visited inside spa for about 12months and always used Michelle as my therapist. I have not used them for some time due to the recent fire that occurred within the spa and have just found out that Michelle has left to work at another salon. Could anyone know where she has gone???

Being the Christmas season I opted for Jessica GELeration nails which I have had on a number of occasions before here so had no hesitation in going again. Different threapists have carried out this treatment each time. Only on one previous occasion have I not been totally happy with the result but it wasn't half has bad as on this occasion, when that same threapist did them.
The cost for this treatment is £26.50 which, compared to other salons, is extortionate, however I went here due to convenience.
I generally get 2-2.5 weeks out of my Jessica Gel's so was expecting them to cover me for Christmas and New Year.
The treatment on this occasion took a mere 25 minutes as oppose to the near 45 minutes on previous visits. I also felt very rushed into making a colour decision. Initially I was happy with the result. Unfortunately they chipped on three nails before the end of Sunday when I had only had them done the Friday before and had started lifting at the bottom of two nails! This is not supposed to happen if they are done correctly.
The first chance I had to go back was the following Thursday. I was so disappointed with the outcome I was wanting them removed and a full refund. However, once an inspection of my nails, with the staff member trying to blame me for the damage had been carried out, only three of the four ruined ones were deemed bad enough to 'fix'.
I agreed and the fixing commenced. Once again, initially, they appeared fine, however by the end of Friday (the following day) one of the fixed nails had chipped and another was listing badly.
I am so disappointed in the level of treatment provided here that I do not want to waste my time returning to have them 'fixed' again and this experience has put me completely off booking any more treatments here in the future.
I get the distinct impression that many of the 'therapists' are not very experienced and until their experience matches the prices or the prices are reduced, I won't be returning or recommending to anyone else.
Should I feel the need for Jessica GELeration nails in the future I will be going to the highliy recommended 'Be Beautiful', Hutton, where they charge only £20 and the outcome is far superior.

Definitely not disappointed... had an amazing time with my mum and younger sister. The staff were extremely friendly and our facials were fabulous. The set up is great with plenty of rooms and treatments on offer, would highly recommend it especially on value for money 😀

Having used this facility twice recently with a couple of friends we will be using it again on a regular basis. There has been something not working on both occasions but there are plenty of different sauna and steam rooms to try along with the hydrotherapy pool and showers plus a lovely relaxation room with massage chairs. Also, you may use the swimming pool included in the price which is very reasonable for a 2 hour de-stress and relax session.

As Ingrid mentioned, give us a call on 01282 661735 and the spa's reception team will be able to let you know availability and book you in. You'll also be able to use the pool for a swim - again, reception will be able to confirm public swim times
