What a lovely place to have on our doorstep. It always cheers me up, the walks through the woods are lovely, there are toilets and a cafe, a lake with ducks, children's playground with lovely views - what more could you ask.

We walk our dogs here almost every day and it's just a lovely place to visit! A pond and play area for kids, a cafe for refreshments, and dogs can be off lead.

What a great place to visit - free parking, visitor centre, miles of walking if wanted, children's play area and picnic facilities, not to mention the cafe. Why not visit the locks and then move on to here for the rest of the day.

Hi Iv only ever been here to the playground and gone as far as the cafe, which direction is it for a nice easy walk with a toddler and where is the lake?

Go beyond the cafe towards the woodland, and the lake is on the right. There are lots of ducks and geese. There is a wide flat path along the side of the lake, easy for a toddler.
Are you able to bring your horse and Horse Box and hack out? Is they a bridle path around the estate? Kind regards

There is a bridle path that extends round the edge of the estate and others besides. Parking is available at various spots where your horse box could be parked. I am not aware of any restrictions on horses.

There is a 662 from Bradford or Keighley and you can walk up to st Ives via alter lane . It is a steep hill but worth the view.
