The view is breathtaking, the skiing is sublime for skiers of all levels, the off-piste powder is the best I've skied in Europe, and the hospitality and authentic Savoyard flavor of this charming French alpine village that welcomes English speaking tourists makes for lasting memories...More

We recently had our ski trip here. Have been to France many years but never to this location. Friends had stayed here before and recommended the great location. I was not disappointed, the location is fantastic. Easy to get to and many ski runs to...More

There are attractive aspects to this resort but I would not recommend it for anyone other then beginners and then it is limited. The links with the Italian side are poor, linked by a small red run, which is narrow and when busy not easy....More

It snowed for our first two days so we had loads of it. They didn't piste bash quickly, leaving everyone struggling to turn on the slopes which were soon full of large moguls as the snow was pushed into heaps. Lifts are good (mainly chairs...More

We booked to go skiing in La Rosiere through Ski Beats and we stayed at a catered chalet called Papillion 3. The chalet was really cute! The host (Nush) and her food was excellent we ate like kings the entire time... loved it! The Skiing...More

We have been to La Rosiere for the last two Christmases. We have been unlucky to not have snow in the resort but on the mountains it has been fine. Clear skies and warm both years. The resort has an excellent bus service that runs...More

Hello! Contemplating La Rosiere for a trip over Christmas. My family (parents and sister) have never skied before so just wondering if this area will have other options in case they don't like it/ want a break for one or two days? I have previously visited Sestriere and Morzine/ Avoriaz and Neiderau all of which i think have other options available and so hoping La Rosiere might have an equivalent atmosphere/ nice shopts/ coffee houses and things to do. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks! Lee

Sorry for the delay in answering. I don't go on T/A very often. We have skied in La Ros for the last 2 Christmases. There has been no snow in the resort but enough on the mountains to ski. When the snow level is quite high... More

HI everyone. Just wondering what the traffic is like getting in and out of La Rosiere. I'm thinking about booking a chalet 5 minutes outside La Rosiere during the February school holidays next year and driving, but that means driving in and out of the resort each day and in La Clusaz this year there were crazy traffic jams at those times. Can anyone help me as to whether we're likely to face similar problems in La Rosiere?
