We had a wonderful experience with Sealife Adventures. David and Liz were brilliant, pointing out wildlife and telling us about the birds and animals and local stories about the area. We saw porpoises, 2 types of Jellyfish, gannets, razorbills, guillemots and the highlight; a White Tailed Eagle and it's massive nest (we saw the chicks too, albeit at a responsible distance). Unfortunately we didn't see whales or otters, but it was still a great experience, highly recommended.

If you’re going to the West Coast of Scotland you’re in for a treat, this was our twentieth trip with Sealife Advetures, and we’ll definitely be back!
We set off under clear blue, sunny skies from the island of Seil, to numerous islands and the awesome Corryvreckan with Skipper, Ray, and the enthusiastic and very knowledgeable Tour Guide, Lydia, who spotted and told us about the wildlife we saw, which included, great black backed gulls, shags, cormorants, herons, a golden eagle and a huge whitetail sea eagle, plus red deer, fallow deer, wild goats, common seals, grey seals and porpoises.
All you need is warm clothing and footwear, as waterproofs, binoculars and lifejackets are all provided. This is an amazing adventure which is highly recommend 5⭐️

The boat tour itself showed us the beautiful views of Scotland’s coasts and islands and would have made the tour worth it on its own. But add the wonderful wild life that we saw, and it made for the most memorable part of our trip to Scotland! We were so lucky to see dolphins, seals, porpoises, and a minke whale!! Liz and Steve were so knowledgeable about the animals, the history, and the landscape! They provided treats and hot drinks, had binoculars and any cold weather gear that we might need. Such a wonderful experience all around! (We did the 5 hour tour).

A magical trip in the waters between Seil Island and Colonsay on a calm August day. Fortunate to see lots of Common Dolphins, a Minke Whale and several Porpoises. There were 2 White Tailed Eagles, a female Hen Harrier and diving Gannets right next to the boat. David and Russ were very professional and passionate and made for a truly memorable experience. Thank you

This was an excellent experience!
Expertly navigated through the stunning islands by David, even venturing off course to see a pod of dolphins! Wildlife guide Russ was also brilliant in teaching us about the history of all the islands along with all the knowledge of the local wildlife. Both are absolute experts in their field and inspiringly passionate about marine conservation.
Couldn’t have asked for better weather or luck, as saw all sorts of wildlife, from sea eagles, seals, dolphins and even a minke whale! Would absolutely recommend, the landscape itself and being on out on the sea is experience enough, the sightings just make it all the better!

5 star! Had an amazing time and the wildlife guid Russ was so good at keeping us entertained, along with David, both keeping us informed and close to the action when animals would appear. Some cool spots and an open area to view everything we spotted it was a great day out and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our second trip with these guys and it didn't disappoint. We were lucky enough to see a Minke whale but even if we hadn't, Davis and Rosie made sure to share lots of interesting facts about what we were seeing. A unique experience for both adults and children - absolutely worth every penny.

What a wonderful experience this was. The crew were caring and passionate about this beautiful part of the world. We saw an osprey, seals with pups and lots of porpoises amongst others. Seeing the corryvrecken whirlpool so close was awe-inspiring. David was such an expert on wildlife and handling the boat. And Rosie too was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The other passengers on the boat were lovely and it was great to be with people who love wildlife as much as we did.

Hi when is the best season to see minke whales? Thanks
Minke whales normally arrive late May to early June, although ten odd individual may arrive sooner. They leave in September, or early October. They are wild animals and nobody can guarantee sightings, however the area we work in has been protected for 13 years and has a great abundance and variety of wildlife.

Hi, I saw someone had mentioned that you provide a dog sitting service for people going on trips. I was wondering is this to be arranged much in advance ?
Hello, we do not provide it as a business, but it is very often the case that you can come to a private arrangement with one of our wildlife guides to look after a dog during a trip. Just get in touch beforehand! It doesn't have to be too much in advance at all but if you happen to know in advance when you're coming you may as well arrange then to ensure a guide is free :)

When is whale season? Thank you.
Minke whales normally arrive sometime between the middle of May and early June and leave in September. Dolphins, porpoise, seals and eagles are here all year round.

We are looking at visiting in September is this a good time for wildlife ?
Many thanks for this question, September is great for wildlife as are the other months. In september we would hope to see otters, seals, sea eagles, lots of seabirds, porpoise and maybe dolphins and whales. Hope to see you on a trip.

Hi I'm thinking to visit Oban around 3rd weeks of July. Is it a lot to see during that time in term of wildlife? I'm bringing my bf parents as they want to see Scotland as a whole.
July is a great time for wildlife, there are lots of young porpoise, seals, eagles, deer and seabirds.

Do you allow dogs on board
Hi, we welcome dogs on board when a group charters the whole boat, however when people book on an individual basis we cannot take dogs as other guests might be nervous or allergic.
Our wildlife guides are both fond of dogs and it is normally possible to come to a private arrangement to dog-sit while owners are on the boat.
We have a pet-friendly cottage available to rent close to our pontoon.

We are off to Oban in the next couple of weeks. Do you think it'd be worth booking this trip?
It is a good time of year for wildlife. We have been seeing white fluffy seal pups, otters, eagles and porpoise on recent trips. It is the time of one of the great wildlife spectacles of Scotland - the deer rut.
Please check out the trip calendar on our website and contact us for more information. David, owner / skipper
