Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

David needs therapy. Anger management and a reality check. He is in no way suitable to be a host for quests.. he just does not have any people skills. From giving away our accommodation to his friends (and thinking it's okay we move into his house WITH him), to berating us about using the heater, asking for things that were supposed to be included (food, juice, wine), to entering the bathroom to complain about too much water being used to brush teeth! 'Headonism gone mad' was David's catchphrase for any action that used electricity, water or gas.

I found David to lack any enthusiasm, i found David also to be quite rude and careless. The mountain biking would suit beginners only. I would not recommend this to anyone

Just got back from a three night stay in Orgiva.
The property although basic had everything we needed. Shower, pool, wifi and space for outside eating. It was perfectly located extremely close to the mountains and local villages but far enough not to be bothered by noise. The property is located just off the main road (marked by a BP petrol garage!!) which was easy to get to from Malaga and then find.
Orgiva is very small but has a couple of grocery shops, a lovely restaurant and the best bakery! We also travelled to a nearby village; Lanjaron, which has an ice cream shop and some more restaurants as it is slightly bigger.
We were road biking and there was loads of routes of various sizes.
David was lovely. He provided us with maps to use for exploring and provided muesli, cereal, eggs, bread, milk and fruit.
We will definitely be back!

We've just got back from 4 nights staying with Biking Andalucia. Dave was a fantastic host and kept us thoroughly entertained throughout. He demonstrated an excellent local knowledge of the mountain bike trails that he guided us on. The accommodation was basic, but fairly well equipped. The local town of Orgiva (less than 5 minutes walk away), is packed with plenty of places to eat and drink. Highly recommended for those that want a relatively cheap get away to experience the excellent cycling trails. Hope to see you again! Ben, Tim and Steve.

Bespoke bike tour.

We did a three day trip across the Sierra Nevada with biking Andalusia and it was an amazing expedition. We were picked up from Malaga, checked out the bikes in Orgiva (trek superfly hard-tail bikes from sierranevada cycle company - really great bikes). Overnight in Orgiva (I'd recommend Pizza'n'love for dinner). Day 1: A white knuckle drive with an ascent of 1500m. You can ride this but we had a tough 40km ride to Capiliera via gravel road, gnarly single track and open tracks via irrigation channels. Beautiful scenery and picnic lunch in the forest. We overnighted in Capiliera (We booked the hotel).
Day 2: To the refuge at Poqueria. Uphill for about 24km, mostly a reasonable grade, then 3km of fast downhill to the refuge. As we were staying overnight and continuing to Granada we needed to take clothes for the refuge, snacks for 2 days and lots of water. As this was about to be taken up over 3000m, careful packing is required! The refuge is like a mix of a ski lodge and back packers hostel. Rooms of 8 bunks, communal dining. It gets cold at night but the views are glorious. Dinner is 17€, simple but filling and breakfast is 5€.
Day 3. Up and over the mountains. The track is rocky but mostly rideable and the views are worth the slog. The track leads to the top of a ski resort and then it was (mostly) gloriois downhill to Granada. An amazing trip. Great guides and well worth the effort.

Fantastic little secluded spot but close to everything. Very relaxing to enjoy & sun-bake by the pool. Enjoyed going to the markets and local Tapas everywhere.
If you want to go for a hike or bike ride either mountain or road, David has all the knowledge to set you on your way to a route to suit your own pace or a challenge if you want. He has always treated us with the utmost of kind intensions and we now even call him our 'Mate'... Paco is also now our friendly fur baby.
Missing the place and already looking forward to our return next Year.
Cheers Suzanne & Dean xox

Booked a mornings ride with David. A great ride, Davids local knowledge is excellent and friendly guy. Some lovely conversations along the ride, in between fighting for breath on the 600m climb in 38 degrees!
Fantastic scenery and the climb was well worth the fast and technical single track back down the mountain

Just returned from a brilliant week with David. His hospitality is second to none -
Everything was taken care of so we could relax and enjoy our holiday.

The accommodation is lovely in a beautiful setting and it has everything you need, including a secure bike store and an area to do bike maintenance and also laundry which is great as we had lots of sweaty cycling kit!

David's knowledge of the local trails provided us with hours of great riding on a wide variety of terrains and all with fantastic views of the region. He did a fantastic job at catering for everyone in our group, which was mixed ability and fitness levels.

I can't fault my stay and I would definitely recommend and return. Thanks David!

First time road-biking in Spain - went with some friends who had stayed here before - had a fab time and expect to return, Plenty of great places to relax and eat in Orgiva

Some good rides even for a novice like me - albeit punctuated with Coffee and Cake - is there anything better?? - Thanks to David for looking after us and the meet and greet at the Airport -
