Lengkuas Island located in the waters of the Belitung Island, and is about 30 minutes away by boat from Tanjung Kelayang beach or Tanjung Binga in District Sijuk, Belitung. In Lengkuas Island there is Lighthouse, built by Dutch colonial in 1882 and still actively working for marine navigation. Visitors must wash feet with fresh water before entering the lighthouse buildings constructed of steel, because the sea water can cause rust on the building. From the lighthouse, you can see beauty of the white sandy beaches on the island with giant granite rocks and clear sea water greenish.

Nothing much can be done here except the view and the color of the sea. Lighthouse can only go up to 3rd floor, unable to reach to the top. It’s a so so island.

A bit too crowded to my taste, but still it's a pretty cool stop over (toilets!!!) when you are island hopping and snorkeling.

We visited this small island on our trip to Belitung. Lighthouse and the clear water are the best thing we found in here. We also spent time snorkellin around Lengkuas Island.

Small island that can barely handle the number of boats visiting. The lighthouse is an okay sight, but not worth the climb. The rocks are taken over by tourists looking for the perfect instagram angle. The beach in front of the lighthouse was too dangerous...More

You can reach Lengkuas Island by car from Tanjung Pandan to Tanjung Kelayang, then you rent a 10 pax - 20 pax boat, from Tanjung Kelayang you need about 15-20 minutes by boat

I don't think you need a tour guide. Like you say (and if you're coming from Jakarta), just fly out to Tanjung Pandan, hire a cab to Tanjung Kelayang and let him know you want to go out to Lengkuas. He will know the best... More
