Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Schinias Sandy Beach offers a delightful blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. The pine forest backdrop adds a serene touch, creating a scenic atmosphere. The presence of a windsurfing school enhances the beach's appeal, catering to both beginners and enthusiasts. The variety of water sports available adds excitement for adventure seekers. The presence of great taverns allows visitors to savor local cuisine, completing the overall experience. However, the overall enjoyment may be weather-dependent, and the crowd levels on the weekends can vary.

Wonderful, long (1-2 miles), sandy beach amid gorgeous pine tree forest. I always try to come at least once every time I come to Greece.

Lovely beach with sand and plenty of space, ideal for cooling off and with a great taverna close by.

Stunning Beach! Clear Water, great sand, peaceful and quiet. You have to bring all your own items-chairs, umbrellas, food/drinks. Incredibly worth it.

Schinias has it all. It is rarely over crowded. It has pine trees that come down near to the beach that afford a choice of sun or shade. The beach has a very gentle taper that is ideal for children (it is where I taught my daughter to swim back in the 1980s). This beach has it all.

Go to the further point of the beach for snorkeling. It is possible to park the car almost near the sea. Rocks to the left are quite rich as for sea life.

For Attiki this is a great beach but dont compare it to better beaches on Greek Islands which is a whole different level. I wouldnt recommend going here during the summer at a weekend as parking and finding space is impossible. During weekdays or in SPring/Autumn it is paradise. Behind the beach there are woodlands which are beautiful, as well as a few bars/taverns dotted along the coast (depending which route/road you took). At the end of the beach they have removed the original old tavernas. Be careful with parking and belongings as I know of several people who have had things stolen/cars broken into. Avoid the expensive beach clubs/bars between Schinias and Marathon which are pretentious/busy and overpriced. The water itself is clean most of the year, very shallow though at the end which is ideal for Children.

This pine curved beach is located abt 45 kms North East of the centre of Athens and close to the historical town Marathonas. The shore is shallow and by the strong summer winds this place is very popular for wind surfing.
Our last visit at this beach was on a warm sunny day in late November. As the summer season was ended, the ambient was very quiet and we take pleasure of having a picnic there by listening the smooth sound of waves.
