This is a great beach located very close to the center of Orosei. We went several times during our stay in Orosei. It’s really big, beautiful sand and when we went there was almost no one else there. Fantastic!!!!

We stayed in Orosei so this beach was very handy to get to and signposted from the town centre. After maybe a 5 minute drive there is a little hut with a man outside who charges 5 euros entry. You then cross a little bridge and go down a dusty track for about 1km. My only criticism would be possibly invest some of the entrance fee to fill in some of the potholes to improve access.
We parked among the trees and the first thing we noticed was the constant thrum of insects, I think they're called cicadas?? Not something we're used to in Scotland but pretty cool! We went first time on a Sunday and there was a real social scene with what seemed like locals parked in the shade of the trees picnicking and making a real day off it. Although it was the weekend and fairly busy the stretch of beach is that large you can definitely get your own space and tranquility.
The sand is very nice underfoot and seemed to be little grains of 1 or 2 mm that didn't get all over you and we're easy to brush off.(we visited another beach to the North called berchida where the sand was glorious and as fine as flour but tended to get everywhere.) The sea was a nice ambient temperature and became deep near the shore, within about 5 metres it was chest height.
We went one more time on a Thursday(mid July) and we had a vast swathe of beach to ourselves. To conclude if you want a beach to relax and unwind you can't go wrong at Su Barone, The much heralded beaches of the Gulf of Orosei such as Cala Luna and Cala Gorlitze were so mobbed you just couldn't kick back and relax on them- Give me Su Barone anytime!

We were staying in Cala Gonone for ten days and on the 6th decided to have a drive out to this beach after reading TA comments. At first I was a little confused about where to park so I simply headed to the area marked Su Petrosa. This I think ended up being the best choice as it gives you all the options.
On entering by the sign Su Petrosa you can choose either to park for free (if there is a space) under the trees and simply walk 50 metres to the beach or cross the bridge and pay your 5 euros to park almost on the beach. It was easy - my only warning is the road to Cala Gonone not going through Orosei is a dirt track - in parts. We did it the once but decided to save the hire car!
Anyway thats the boring bit - this was undoubtedly one of the best beaches we have ever been to including those in Africa and India. The lovely sand, the beautiful scenery all around, the turquoise clear warm sea, the amazing lagoon area behind - I could go on and on it was that good.
It was so good and we were so relaxed we cancelled all other plans and went there the next three days as well. I believe we were lucky in that we went at the right time at end of June/beginning of July in that it was so quiet. One stretch we plonked ourselves on I counted only ten other couples in about a 200m stretch. There was the occasional beach seller but they were always polite and not pushy. It was heaven

We prefer a beach that is not crowded and that is not easy to find. On recommendation from our accommodation we headed here. So pleased we did. I’m sure we would not have known about it otherwise. It is 5 Euro car entry and well worth it. Just a few kilometres from Oresei, you drive into the area in a dirt road with the lake on one side, the mountains ahead and the beach on the other. So picturesque. We parked under the shade of one of the many trees and found the beach not crowded. It was convenient having toilets (clean, well maintained toilets). There was also a bar and cafe area although we didn’t use them. It was a very peaceful beach and despite the people dotted along, there was no noise. Well worth seeking out this beach if you want to escape the crowds.

4km south of Orosei this fantastic beach felt the full effect of the Mistral wind the day we were there!!!
Lots of short waves (not surfing waves) crashed up on the beach, so on windy days only swim if you're very good!!
However the beach is great with a couple of eating spots. There's toilets and showers ( 1Euro per shower). Pine trees behind the beach give full shade for cars.
It's 5 euros to access the beach, over a richerty wooden bridge with a long track on the side of the lake (stagno). Well worth the money for this short drive to the beach.
Locals go to southern end where you can park for free, before accessing a second bridge by a restaurant.
However I recommend you pay the 5 euros. We loved it, and so will the kids.
I guess on normal non windy days that the sea is flat, it calmed down considerably as the wind dropped later in the day.
It's a real gem. Enjoy

Stunning walk through the nature reserve. Small refreshment area as you enter the beach was lovely. Delicious snacks & coffee. Toilets spotless.
Beach beautiful backed by pine trees. Umbrella and sunbeds a little pricey but worth it for a one off visit. Highly recommended for its beautiful scenery.

This beach is part of a long c4Km stretch of white sand backed with pine trees. Access to the beach cost 5 Euro but this allowed you to drive in along trails through the pine trees to pick your private spot. The beach was clean and on the two occasions we went there, we were almost on our own. Superb

The nicest beach we've been to in Orosei. There is parking near the beach, which you pay for before you cross the bridge(8euro). There are also sunbeds and umbrellas for rent from Su Barrone beach bar. 2 sunbeds and umbrella on the front row, 35 euro. Our 3 year old also enjoyed this beach.
