Ballooning in Tuscany since 1990 Balloon in Tuscany offers tourist flights in hot air balloons in the Chianti area where it is based. Thanks to thirty years of experience, we have welcomed more than 30,000 passengers. Balloon in Tuscany is an expression of the Aerostatic Association of Tuscany. We offer balloon flights throughout Tuscany with safty and fun. Our launch sites are in the Chianti area, San Gimignano, Siena and Florence. You can book and purchase your flight on our website, or contact us if you need more information. We wait for you! About us Since 1990 we organize hot air balloon flights in Tuscany. We’re the only ones in Italy to have a basket, designed by us and certified, for the transport of disabled people. For us, the balloon is not just a job, but a real passion. With us, you’ll be welcome, and if you wish, besides the flight, you can have breakfast with us with typical Tuscan products.

Just book it! Majestic flight over Tuscany.

This adventure was the highlight of our Italy trip in October 2023. What a truly majestic point of view, gliding with ease above the clouds, the Tuscan landscape unraveling before us, as the peace and quiet wrapped around us. If you are seeking a magical way to see the Italian countryside unobstructed, and you want a little excitement - book this trip.

Team:
Gianna (owner) and entire flight team were organized, professional, and kept things running smooth. They monitor weather and confirm everything the night before.

Logistics:
Meet at just before 7 AM at an open field in Tavarnelle. Use google maps (not Apple) to input the site coordinates and allow extra time to drive up the mountain in dark and fog. Not too difficult, but take your time. Dress warmly in layers to adjust easily, wear pants (you must climb into the basket), and wear comfortable footwear (sneakers or hiking boots) that you won’t mind getting a little muddy. You don’t know exactly where you’ll land, and it could be in an empty field or deserted vineyard with uneven ground. This ride probably not for someone with moderate to severe mobility issues, unless discussed in advance with the crew. Entire adventure lasted about 3.5 hours from meet point to being dropped back at our cars after breakfast.

Extras;
A crew in an SUV meets you at the landing site where you watch them deflate and pack up the balloon. This did take about 45 minutes and you kind of stand around while it happens. Then they take you to Gianna’s home (a vineyard) where you enjoy a light breakfast of champagne, fruits, cheeses, cakes, and breads. You have the option to purchase drone footage or still shots from them at this time.

I was surprised and delighted at how smooth the lift off, flight, and landing were. It was like we were in a cloud! At no time did we feel windy or unstable, and the pilot navigated our path beautifully.

Honestly, just do it!

The Great Experience of Flying in a Hotair Balloon

Fly Balloon is the best flying experience I have ever been by experienced professional pilots on incredible location flying over San Gimignano or Siena in the early morning light , and after the flight a great champagne breakfast at Gianna home I highly recommend them for a great experience that will be remembered for a lifetime, and they are so professional that they can provide you with a video of your flight shot by a drone operator, so next time you visit Tuscany check them out.

Magical experience, definitely to be done at least once in a lifetime!
Organization was flawless, attentive and serious. The guys on the team are all very nice and have created a very pleasant atmosphere!
A "special" thanks to Gianna for her passion, the real added value to this extraordinary experience! Excellent rich breakfast upon arrival!

Absolutely phenomenal experience!

Absolutely amazing experience! Balloon flight is a great thing itself but because it is in Tuscany, it becomes unbelievable! If you add a professional (Max - super pilot!) and very, very friendly staff and tasty breakfast with Prosecco, then you simply cannot miss it.

Ps. The lady who owns the company was so nice that gave us a bottle of Chianti wine mad in the traditional way. She really wanted to make the whole experience unforgettable for us.

Unforgettable!

We were a group of 10 adults (5 in each balloon) and this was one of the best experiences of our trip. Stefano, Gianna and team were great to deal with and would recommend them without hesitation. The views were incredible and the breakfast was outstanding. Pictures and video from the drone were terrific. Thank you for making this a lifetime experience.

This balloon-flight was really FANTASTIC! We had a wonderful trip with an amazing view, seeing the sunrise in the morning. The area, nature, castles and wine-yards we heard it all of the pilot, crew and team. They were great. All with a smile and humour. Afterwards we got an home-made breakfast with champagne in their garden. They were very helpfull and friendly. This is the best way to discover Tuscany!
We would advice anybody to do so!

The BEST Part of our TRIP

Thank you Stephano and family for such a beautiful experience! Antony and I had the most wonderful time with you on our excursion, you are truly a master at your craft. Then to be invited to your home for breakfast was such a special treat. It felt like the most authentic part of our 3 week trip in Italy. Well done and we wish you and your family the very best.

The BEST!

We had another outfit cancel our trip at 5pm on a Sunday. I found Balloonintuscany online and sent a message Gianna who promptly got back to me with a thumbs up for two the next morning.

What an amazing experience it was to be a part of this balloon trip with this family run operation. From beginning to end it was magical. We soared above the countryside with Stefano who has a great sense of humor and not a bad singing voice. Don't be confused by the other companies with similar names. This family is the original.

I highly recommend this outfit and this experience it was the best I had on a two week Italy trip. And added bonus we made friends with the others on the ride and keep in touch.
