    Dog friendly Bistro lunch
Stopped off here for lunch with the dog. The Bistro has a varied menu which proved very tempting - ended up having the Black sheep burger which was the best lamb burger I’ve ever tasted. There is seating indoors and outdoors however there was no shade outside for the dog so we sat inside. The shop is quite extensive and staff very helpful. The whole experience is dog friendly, with the exception of the actual brewery tour. Parking is limited however well worth a visit if you’re passing through.

Fantastic brewery tour & lovely bar/restaurant
Brewery tour was absolutely great, Alan was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Got choice of a pint, 2 halves or 3 thirds at end of tour so was opportunity to try different beers. For price this tour is well worth the money, would definitely recommend!

    A memorable visit.
The tour was made very interesting by Alan the tour guide. After the tour we went to the restaurant in the brewery, which served excellent food with good service. finally we visited the shop and bought some of the many beer types which were on display.

The brewery tour was so interesting, the shop had lots of lovely gifts and the staff were all friendly and helpful! The tour was very indepth and Allen who did it was very enthusiastic about the whole thing and answered all the questions! Great to see everything working and then having the tasting at the end. We didn't eat there but the food looked and smelt amazing! Next time we will definitely be testing that!

    Black Sheep Brewery
Fist Visit to the Black Sheep Brewery in April 2023 whilst on holiday in the area with family. The Brewery is located in Masham which is a very pretty town/village. It is an impressive old industrial building which can be seen from the road side when travelling past. Parking was available on site, and we entered the Brewery to, firstly, have a look around the Gift Shop. There was a lot of nice gift items including pub memorabilia and bottles of beer. We went into the Bar/Brewery area and sampled a local beer which was delicious. We sat upstairs in the apex of the roof space which had amazing views. The sofas were extremely comfortable and the place had a really nice atmosphere. We had a walk around the outside of the Brewery which had outdoor seating. It really is an iconic building. It was enjoyable visit which is recommended. I look forward to visiting again and I hope the Brewery is successful with its new owners.

    Great local beer!
We booked a tour with Alan, he is obviously very passionate about Black Sheep beer! It was really interesting and we enjoyed being able to try some of the different brews. Alan recommended the Black Sheep gin with peppercorns, so we bought some and it’s also really good! We had a great lunch in the cafe before our tour. Highly recommend this visit if you are in or near Masham.

    Unique Summer Holiday Stop
Lovely summer holiday visit. We booked the tour by phoning ahead. Our guide Alan is very knowledgable and led an interactive and facts packed tour. I now know the secret of a perfect pint (4C’s). Bonus point was the free soft drinks for kids and free vouchers for beers to try out at Bar or bottles to take home. Plenty options to pick from lunch menu and lovely outdoor beer garden with a view to soak up the sun. Highly recommended and will be back to restock on our next visit.

    Great day
Fantastic place with a great tour. The tour was led by a man named Allan who was very knowledgeable about all things brewing related, and black sheep history related. He was also relatable and kept things light and entertaining. After the tour we had a few beers and ended up drinking with a few lads who were part of a stag do, and it was entertaining to say the least 😂

    Awesome place mind blown
We did the brewery tour as a stag do. Just brilliant. 13 blokes and a lady called Emma, ordinarily we would run riot, Emma kept us all in check and made sure we got the tour and understood what she was saying. So interesting and fun. The boys had a giggle and she held her own, fair play. Amazing place to visit and would totally bring the family back. Oh and mind blown, fish has a part in beer production????? Oh and also had a quick fun photo care of Doncaster Restraint Museum. Now that’s a tour guide❤️

    Black sheep Brewery Afternoon tea
We had afternoon tea here today. It was fabulous, had 4 types of sandwiches, 3 types of scones with jam and cream and 4 different sweet treats along with a choice of tea or coffee and a jug of iced lemon water . The chef explained what each of the sandwiches, scones and desserts were. We were not rushed at all and at a cost of £25 pp or £29.95with Prosecco I think this was good value for money and would highly recommend. When speaking to the chef he said this was something new they were trying. We had heard on the grapevine that this was something they were going to trying and so we booked it.

Was in Masham with friends to do the Black Sheep Big Spoon bike ride. Took opportunity to go on the Black sheep brewery tour. Well worth doing and Alan the tour guide was excellent and very knowledgable about the brewery, its history and the brewing industry in general. Recommend a visit if visiting Masham.

Trip to the Black Sheep Brewery at the end of May 24. We booked onto the 11:30am tour as a family of four with two kids, aged 6 and 8. The lady in the shop was very friendly and then we were led through to the tour area. There was a good introduction to the Brewery history and the beers produced, followed by a short DVD film. We were then taken around the Brewery building and different parts of the process were explained to us. It was the right length, long enough to get the info but short enough that the kids didn't get bored. Really knowledgeable guide. The tour included 3 tokens for beers of your choice at the end and the kids got a soft drink included. We stayed for lunch at the Brewery bistro and really enjoyed the food. The portions were good, the onion rings were amazing. The kids meals were good, they included a main and a scoop of ice cream for £10. Bottles of beer to buy in the shop were good value at about £2 each.
If you're in the area I would recommend a visit

This was a well overdue visit to the brewery for a tour. The tour guide Alan was passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the Black Sheep Brewery. A wonderful building with equally wonderful staff and of course, wonderful beer. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Drove for half an hour to make the 4pm tour which was advertised on the website just before we set off. “No tour due to lack of tour guide” the earlier tours were on! Very annoying. They should keep their website up to date.

This was our annual visit for my husband's birthday. We've always loved visiting Black Sheep and enjoyed their excellent food, but were disappointed on this occasion due to a specific issue. We had viewed the bistro menu online and decided, in light of the choices, to book a hotel for the night and visit for an evening meal. Also, due to food intolerances, making menu choices in advance is an important factor for me.
On arrival we were presented with a menu which was far smaller than the one online and mainly comprised of pizzas, burgers and pie.
We explained to the staff that we had travelled a long way and booked a hotel for this visit, and so had decided to go elsewhere to find a proper 3 course meal. In fairness to them, they acknowledged that the website is not up to date or accurate, and gave us complimentary drinks. They also said that the chef could do us the meals we'd wanted if we could comeback the following day. Unfortunately we weren't able to take that up.
So, this isn't a criticism as such, just to say, don't rely on their website for accurate information about what's on offer.

I'm a little late in writing this, but it's well worth the 5 stars given!
Was treated to a surprise visit here as a birthday gift.
Upon arrival for the brewery tour, we were informed that there was no 4pm tour that day, this was after calling the day before to confirm.
However, the gentleman behind the counter very kindly went and took us around......
It felt like our own personal tour for just two of us.
Sorry I can't remember the gentleman's name, but he was friendly, jolly and a wealth of information about the brewery.

After the tour we took a meal in the restaurant.
I have to day, this is the best food I've ever eaten..... Absolutely delicious and will definitely be back.... even if it's just for the food.
Great staff, friendly and welcoming.
Thanks for a great experience

Emma took us round the brewery tour and it was really well-done - so interesting! It was great to hear about the whole brewing process, and to see part of it in process. We also really enjoyed tasting 6 different beers between the 2 of us at the end of tour (included in the price of our ticket). Shop and bar staff were all really friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
