Nice lighthouse but you can't go up or inside. However from some of the reviews, looks like you can but they vary the opening hours. You can walk close to it but that's it when we went. Worth going to as your likely to stop here along the river and there is nothing much to do apart from the craft shops and the lighthouse. It's literally a five to ten minute walk from where the boats are. Just walk off the boat area and take a right which takes you to the craft shops eventually leading you to the lighthouse…

Good stopover to take a break from the boat ride. Good local craft stores on the way to the lighthouse. It was not possible to go into the lighthouse.

The lighthouse of the village of Mandacaru is administered by the Brazilian Navy. It is open until 11:30. The entrance to the top is free, no need to pay to climb. You have to be in shape because the climb is by stairs is the tower must have height of about ten floors. La top can be seen the sea, part of the mouth of the Rio Preguiça and the hamlets of Atins and Caburé. The visit can be made in conjunction with other attractions by means of a boat trip along the Preguiça River.…
