We entered late afternoon and peaceful recorded music was being played. The building dominated the town square so is easy to find!

This place is in the centre of Treguier and is a huge and impressive structure it's flying buttresses and stained glass. There is a ramp to the main entrance and the inside is accessible for wheelchairs. If you like this style of building this is...More

Simple on the inside beautiful flying buttresses outside. Listened to a half hour organ recital at noon on a Wednesday while the weekly food and dry goods market bustled outside.

One sees so many cathedrals on a trip, around France that one blends into another. That said, the Cathedral of St Tugdual and the 13th Century St Yves is remarkable and, well worth the visit. The entry is free but the two euros for the cloister is...More

A considerable surprise and I use the word considerable advisedly, because this is a very large church for a smallish town - but full of interest, from the oldest parts to the more modern glass. And that wonderful, slightly eccentric spire, like a child's toy......More

The existence of this fine cathedral in what is effectively a small town is due to the fact that Tréguier was to become a place of pilgrimage for two men; Saint Tugdual, a Welshman and Saint Yves (also known as Erwann in local language). The...More

Sadly the cloisters were closed on a Monday but don't be put off, there is much to enjoy in this cathedral that dominates this gorgeous small town. A guided tour reveals even more though a self guided walk still satisfies.
