A day out with family.

Found a leaflet about thus place in our local community shop. Only 25 minutes away from us by car. This place is quite new and is in Lanark. It has a lovely little nature trail with a small play park gift shop and cafe. There’s lots of interesting facts on boards explaining about growing fruit and vegetables and have lots of plants growing. It was a lovely day out will definitely be back.

Lovely place! We’ll be back!
Feb 2020 • Family
Recently visited this lovely new place with my 1.5 year old daughter and we had a great time. My daughter particularly loved the wee play park. It’s refreshingly different to standard play parks with the most beautiful rustic nature hut full of wonderful toys and things to entertain all ages (especially good when raining which is was!) and little tunnels etc to explore. The nature trail was a bit too wet / flooded the day we visited so I look forward to going back when the weather Is better. We easily passed a couple of hours between the park and lovely little cafe / gift shop. I had a nice coffee & scone and there was a great high chair for my daughters snack time plus very friendly staff there. I bought the handmade soap and love it (I have sensitive skin as well). Highly recommend for a family morning or afternoon out 👍

Brilliant park that for once is a change from the ‘normal’ play parks with all the standard equipment

A little gem !
Jan 2020 • Family
We arrived today for the 1st time and a lovely lady in the cafe told us that the Nature Trail had some flooding but we were welcome to still use it, just to be careful. Some of the pathway was completely submerged, but this just added to the fun, what 4 year old doesn’t like puddles right?! We had a great time and it’s clear that when the water subsides there’s lots more to see and do within the nature trail. Out of the nature trail and into play park - excellent, just super! Lots of equipment to climb on, jump from, balance on, roll about and a fabulous log cabin filled with toys :-). We will certainly be back and I would highly recommend to families with kids of all ages. Clydesdale Community Initiatives have created a great space to be enjoyed by many and all they ask for in return is a donation. Please visit, please use this space, please support this amazing organisation!

Relaxed walk, friendly cafe
Jan 2020 • Couples
The nature trail was well built, a lovely boardwalk over a flooded wooded area. Quiet and peaceful, with wildlife all around. An imaginative play area with lots for younger children to enjoy, even at this time of year. The cafe was clean, great for a hot drink and cake while admiring the locally made crafts for sale. Everything was an impressively high standard, so glad it’s so easy to get to and local to Lanark.
