Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped off here as part of a “Coast & Caves” coach tour.
The Basilica itself oozes grandeur, with two bell towers and a central rose window.
There are many stunning paintings and figures that adorn this very peaceful and spiritual place.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

In January , there is a procession outside the chirch where the priest blesses the animals of the local residents which is quite an amazing spectacle. From horses and donkeys to cats, dogs and birds, all are blessed.

This church is in the National Road that connects Alicante to Valencia.
It is a beautiful church and different design to most churches in the province. Has a real presence and in the context of the busy road is a little piece of quiet.
Well worth taking a detour and stopping off. As you can see looks lovely when lit too.

A lovely place to visit when you are in Benissa. It has a stunning ceiling and beautiful workings throughout the interior. Like all churches it is quiet and serene, you can stay as long as you like and loose yourself within yourself. A wonderful sanctuary from reality.

The church is but a few steps from the busy N332 which bisects the town and well worth 20mins of your time to have a look round - there’s a convenient pay and display car park out front. The exterior is certainly Impressive and has recently undergone restoration work. The interior is vast, with numerous side chapels, a vaulted ceiling above the Altar and when we visited, a large Nativity display which on it’s own was fascinating with some working elements which would keep the attention of young children. Not sure if we were lucky but I’m glad it was open on the weekday we visited. Unfortunately the rest of the town is rather drab and unattractive.
