If you want to experience a real authentic Viking settlement this is the place to visit even if it's not big with not much to do, it gives you the idea of how the Vikings lived all those years ago. The best time to visit is on the last day of April in the evening, although cold its a great experience.…

We were taken to Trelleborg by our friends who have a summerhouse close by, and go each year to the Viking Festival. More than 1000 Viking enthusiasts set up a tent village selling food, clothing, crafts and activities. For example, the kids could make their own necklaces from molten tin. There are ‘warrior training’ classes, and a massive battle involving 200 authentically dressed & armed warriors. I’m not sure we’d get much from a visit outside the time of the Festival but it was great to see the Viking culture in this way, and at such a vast scale. Totally worth it!…

This museum includes a reconstruction of part of the fortress wall and some reconstructions of old houses. It is quite useless to visit it because it can be seen even passing through the street and because there are very few things inside.
