This beach is quite beautiful and very comfortable when we sit sitting on the edge of the beach carrying mats while enjoying the freshly burned fish satay with super spicy soy sauce

While I was staying at Blitar I got a friend to take me on their motorbike down to the beach at Tambakrejo. The road is windy and not in very good condition so it takes a while to get there. But it is nice countryside to look at on the way. When I arrived I had coffee in a warung on the beach and notice that each warung seemed to specialise in serving smoked fish. So after I went for a walk exploring the beach, I went back to another warung for lunch. This was the highlight of the trip. You can pick your own piece of fish and they grill it on a bbq right there. And it so cheap at 15k with rice! Some people were swimming but there are surf waves and deep water so you would need to be careful. There were also boat rides that appeared to be popular. I'll definitely bring the whole family next time to enjoy the beach, the food and the views. …

we went to Tambarejo, it was actually quite pretty with a wide sandy portion at one end and good body surfing waves. Just as I was about to go in, I stumbled across 2 drowned rats. Just couldn't bring myself to dive in the water after that. So there is potential but be careful.

Beautiful of beach in blitar... but little far from city centre of blitar. There are some food courner and fish shop also... but we can't swim on there.
