After spending a lovely weekend in Llantwit Major we rounded it off with a very pleasant stroll through the rustic countryside to the beach. A very rocky but surprisingly beautiful beach. The walk was mainly downhill through some quaint cottages with nice gardens and then a peaceful meadow lush with flora and fauna. Probably around a mile and a half.... More

Visited this beach area to walk our dogs, unfortunate the tide was in when we arrive so went on a cliff walk first. There is a great cafe right by the beach so stopped for breakfast, very good, would recommend a visit. There a several nice walks in and around this beach, when the tide is out its great for... Lovely rocky outlook with lots of great spots to explore. Lovely cafe with friendly service. Amazing spot for photography with dramatic tides and great cliff walks.

Third time of visiting here as it's the finish point for the Barry to Ogmore Run Walk Crawl and, if you want to see some impressive coastline and scenery, it's one of the nicest places I've been. As you follow the dry stone walls from Southerndown along the coast to Ogmore, there are great sea views, free grazing sheep and... More

Years ago this beach was filled with sand but now its just rocks with dodgy falling down cliffs. I really dont rate it and bairly go down anymore. I dont know what has happened to it, its like the sand has vanished. I would rather drive 20 minutes to ogmore or southerndown! All in all its still a beach and... More

Have visited this place on numerous occasions, the road is to the beach is narrow & some folk don't get the size of their own car, can make for an interesting trip. Yet once there, there are numerous walks, unspoiled beach & a lovely little Cafe. I didn't visit the Cafe today, yet my youngest daughter was more concerned with... More

Our family spent the morning here shell and fossil hunting. My daughter loved collecting hundreds of different shells in the rock pools and we found many different fossils. We loved it here. The view is gorgeous. It is a rock and pebble beach so it wouldn't be suitable for elderly or disabled visitors. In the high season,I would get here... More

Love this rugged old beach....only there isn't much beach! Great for walks across the cliffs. Ok if you're ok to negotiate rocks to get on to the bit of beach when the tied is out but either way this is a great place to visit.

A little different, as there is mostly rock and gravel. Small car park, hard to park. Good views, plenty of places to walk. Cliff top lovely, but be careful!!
