What cave?
May 2017 • Business
It is almost non-existing if compared to any other proper cave in the world. If you have to walk down and up to reach they cave, you will be dead halfway due to the steepness.

No - you're not lost!
Jun 2015 • Couples
Turn off the main road from Rize at the big green statue of the old man with the cooking dish. From there, keep driving... and driving... and driving... and driving. Take the opportunity to be amazed at the views of Rize's tea plantations, and the stunning scenery. We took photo's of tea being picked, being dried, being weighed, being sorted, being loaded on to trucks...

There are one or two brown signs to remind you where you're heading: they're usually just at the point where you're starting to wonder if you're lost.

The road is narrow, and the corners are insane. But - eventually - you reach the cave entrance. Entry fee is 4tl. There is a café / tea house on site, and toilets.

I'd like to tell you what the caves were like, but they were closed when we got to them. However, the bits we could see looked beautiful - and I know the history of the mining there is really interesting. To be honest, the drive - though long - was so fantastic that it really makes the experience!
