You can do gorilla tracking, bird watching, and learn about the culture and community here. A private vehicle or tour can transport you to this place. It is worth staying at the park several days as it takes time to get here on challenging roads....More

Difficult trek, luckily we were guided by helpful rangers, guards and guides. The guides went out earlier in the day to get an idea of where the gorilla families were so it took us 1 hour of trekking to see them (they told us it...More

I must say that the travel companies do not warn you about the gorilla trek. The outcome, seeing these magnificent animals make you forget about how difficult it was to get to where they where. (about a two hour hike) In my case, with knee...More

I cannot recommend gorilla trekking enough! I loved every moment of it and wish I could do it again. We met at 8 am just inside the park for safety info and briefing. There were approximately 30 or 40 people gorilla trekking that day but...More

Amazing place regardless if you are there for the gorillas (do go gorilla trekking, it was amazing!!!), the forest elephants, the abundant bird and plant life, or for an awesome trek through an impenetrable forest. The rangers and guides were great, very friendly.

It was worth the 10 hour drive to/from Kampala and every muddy, slippery step! Bwindi is really gorgeous - the mountains/hills/trees are beautiful. Our guide Albert and other porters/guides/trekkers were helpful/wonderful. Two of the people in my group got porters for $15 USD and it...More

We trekked for 5 hours (total) in muddy slippery conditions and loved it. The Gorillas were incredible and one walked right up to my husband. The guide, guards, trackers and the porter we hired were all so helpful especially at the tough points. Bwindi is...More

Uganda is a safe, friendly country with sites and animals you can not see anywhere else in the world!! Trek for gorillas in the stunning Bwindi forest, but see countless other species like chimps, monkeys, and forest elephants. Get away from the crowds in South...More

There may be some 'sort' of path in parts, but most of it has to be chopped as you go due to it being forest. I have been twice and both trips were different. First trip was a steep decline and we slipped and fell several... More

Also...the price at low season is considerably less. It is challenging to get from either Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi if you don't know your way around, or aren't willing to risk an adventure. The public transportation... More
