Great place to spend time
May 2021
Gorgeous scenery, beautiful weather, lots to do. I need to go back and spend more time here. The weather was delightfully cool. Go for a boat ride- amazing sites. Eat some crayfish. Relax in paradise.

A beautiful lake in Uganda
Nov 2020
We stayed at an eco-friendly lodge after our trek at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The resort offers a boat tour of the lake with local guide.

The lake and surrounding areas are beautiful.

We learned that all of the houses and lodges are solar powered. There is one privately owned island that has electricity.

It is a beautiful place to stay. I would go back to visit when I had more time 😩.

Place of many little birds
Jul 2020
One of the best places to visit in Uganda. Lake Bunyonyi is popular for its green and lush terraced hills that are punctuated with a plethora of over 200 bird species. The place combines the art of water birds and some migratory birds. This makes it a perfect ideal for many bird enthusiasts. A dive into the Nyombi swamp reveals a variety of assorted birds. Apart from birdwatching, the place also present perfect. These include sports like swimming as well as boat cruising and riding. The area is also underlined by various hikes and nature walks, all of which offer more than just nature and pleasure

Lake Bunyonyi is a paddlers paradise.
Feb 2020 • Solo
Emerald islands jut out among the many bays and islets creating miles of shoreline to explore. The surrounding verdant hills with their patchwork of plots provides an excellent backdrop. There are a smattering of lodges catering to every budget. It's well worth a few days stop over to relax and gaze across the water.

A beautiful lake of 29 islands (and a cpl unnamed).
A beautiful, sedate ride by boat across the lake to our accommodation Bunyonyi Echo Resort. Beautiful views, so tranquil and peaceful. 💕

Absolutely blown away by this place.
I heard that many years ago while under British reign the king fell in love with this area so much he bought it from the Rwandans and it became part of Uganda- if this is true I can understand why he did.
Just breathtaking.
Truly Uganda is “The pearl of Africa”

Stunningly beautiful

Very beautiful lake with 29 islands. It is still a 'working' lake in that people still live on some of the islands and obviously have to travel by canoe for school etc. Take a boat trip - some islands have an interesting history.
Go for a walk with Moris is a great bird guide.

I'd recommend Tony here to help plan and book. Our driver and guide was great.
