Prices have gone up and quality has gone down since our last visit sadly. Staff are grumpy, cocktails are not great compared to what you can get locally and air hockey is broken. Pool tables and live music are still good.

This is our 5th visit to Puerto and we always look forward to visiting Route 66 for the fantastic blues and rock bands that appear. Sadly we were very disappointed to find out that Route 66 no longer puts on rock bands, just MOR buskers with or without backing tapes. They are now no better or worse than any other middling bar in Puerto or Los Gigantes. In future we will be staying elsewhere on the island, maybe Los Cristianos where we know Black Hole have a residency at The Vaults. So sad.

We have been coming to Route66 for many years and love it.. but we need the bands back!! Even just a few nights. All of the bars in los gigantes were packed but not here.. surely that speaks for itself.. BTW great staff👍

Nice bar, in a good area. There was a single guy on acoustic playing, which seemed to be going down well with most people, but I used to play in a live band, and that’s what I like. I really hoped to see some live music, not a guy singing and strumming. Even a drum machine would have made a difference. I had heard so much about this place and have to admit, I was slightly disappointed. Not the jumping, lively, rocking place I had imagined. No offence to the boy playing acoustic. He was decent, but just not what I want in a rock bar.

Gutted. This bar has a long standing reputation for (and the name suggests) great rock bands. I had read it now has solo performers but hoped they were still the same genre of singers and playing accompanying guitar. Not so, I've just sat through Lionel Ritchie, The Temptations,Abba and others all sung to backing tapes. Much the same as numerous other bars. You were the only reason I booked this resort. Not again.
