Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely picture postcard marina. With sail boats, fishing boats and pleasure cruisers.
Wonderful boardwalk that stretches for miles either side. A sandy beach that seems to go on forever. Plenty of space to find your own spot and enjoy the sun or take a dip in the sea. With great beach bars and restaurants dotted all along. Cooking fresh sea food.
Wonderful spanish village just 5 walk away. Best restaurants are located here.
Apart from the naff irish bar quays in the marina - lovely.

We went to find ice cream on a Thursday night in August. The whole port was full of people. After taking ages to find a parking spot (police were ticketing those parked illegally), we went in to find SKY sports blaring out of most of the bars and many street traders trying to hawk knock off Gucci handbags and Premier League football shirts. The feel of the port was chaotic and not at all Spanish. We walked to the Port Authority building at the end of the rows of yachts and then went back to the car and drove on elsewhere.

We took a boat trip searching for whales and dolphins... saw neither but was a lovely break from the heat and the crew were delightful.
Quite clearly a tourist area with lots of rental property on the sea front too.

One of our favourite places lovely walks along the shoreline, excellent restaurants around the port, very good weather and safe bathing in the sea.

Perfect spot. Sandy beaches. Picture postcard marina. Lots of eateries, choices… Great location for families and friend’s for a week away in the sunshine. Only a short taxi ride away from Gibraltar airport too.

We visited the Marina at both lunchtime and for dinner and there is an excellent choice of cuisines and for snacks as well as for full meals.
The area around the marina has restaurants on 2 sides and there are additional restaurants and bars at 1st floor level facing the sea. However in our 2 weeks there, the 1st floor level was rather untidy and uncared for, despite many of the restaurants and bars being open.
However, with a wide choice of places, you can be sure of a decent meal!

Nice harbour! Was surprised to find so many nice restaurants around here. Especially liked the free parking space everywhere!
Restaurants are still at reasonable prices!

Been visiting here for past six years. It’s gone downhill sadly. Drug dealers, robberies, and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Stairs are full of dry sick from revellers. Sadly I don’t visit here anymore, I don’t feel safe

Hi, my wife and I are going to Duquesa in September. Can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable taxi company please, the prices we've been quoted so far are ridiculous.
Thanks.

Hi, I have previously been her befor with my family in April 2017. Obviously being with a young family we would just go to the harbour have a meal and few drinks and go back to our apartment.
This October I will be visiting with my girlfriend's who like to party!! What times do the bars in the harbour tend to shut? Or is there anywhere else we could get a later drink?
Thanks 😊

Hiya David,
We are coming over middle march to middle April. Not confident in driving and wonder if you could advise about public transport?
Can we get a bus from Gibralter airport to Dequesia? If so can you say how we go about this.
Many thanks for your help
Regards
Isabel

I am sorry I do not believe that there is any public transport that will take you direct from Gibraltar to Duquesa the only thing I can recommend is to study the local bus timetables, sorry I could not be any more helpful, but have a fab time.

I am driving from Malaga airport to Duquesa marina in September with a hire car as we have a marina apartment booked for the week.
Can anyone tell me what the car parking situation is like?
Thanks

There are 2 apartment blocks on the marina that have their own underground parking as for the rest the car parks are free of charge. It now obviously depends on the time of year, but September is usually ok. If the car parks are full there is usually room on the road on the west of the marina.
