As Friends of the Classic Malts, the standard tour is free for us. Although we had taken the tour several times previousely we learned some new things as Keith led us very knowledgeably. The dram at the end of the tour was rather tiny though....More

We participated in the Monday AM warehouse experience. This was our last morning on Islay, and we changed our ferry time so we'd be able to make the experience. We're glad we did. It sounds like the Monday AM experience is a good time, and...More

This was our guide’s first tour and she did a great job. The tour is nice and classic, giving you a full appreciation of the process. They are also generous in the tastings at the end.

OK but not exceptional. Under-whelming in that no real food was served to really appreciate the product and something was missing....... The box which contained the 40ml samples was poorly made, it should’ve been the show-case, it wasn’t. Love the whisky, disappointed with tour.

Ian McArthur, our guide, absolutely makes this experience! The whiskey is absolutely fantastic, however Ian was excellent. This by far was the best of the 5 tastings we did on Islay! This is a must do tour! Ian is awesome!

We called in here last week for a quick look around and a wee dram! I was driving but my husband enjoyed his dram and then bought 2 bottles so must have been good!

Attended the open day for feis ile 2018. Great atmosphere with loads to do from live music to the free dram bar. Brilliant food from seafood shack and BBQ.

If you love whisky, you probably have seen the film, Angel’s Share. The bottle of whisky in the auction was preserved here. It is very interesting to see it in person. The drinking lounge was very well designed and comfortable.

Lovely tour and guide along with a nice tasting selection for 10 pounds. Enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend.

We loved this tour, our guide was knowledgable and enthusiastic. We visited 5/8 distilleries during our stay and the flavour of this whiskey was our favourite

Hello, there is not a cafe at Lagavulin. Currently, the only 2 Islay distilleries with cafes are Ardbeg (a mile from Lagavulin) and Kilchoman.

The most direct means is a direct flight, twice a day , from Glasgow Airport. This takes about half an hour. Otherwise, the most economic route is a Citylink bus from Glasgow, Buchanan Street, bus station to Kennacraig... More

They will mail it to you. But as we discovered three weeks ago we did not need to use it since we booked both the distillery tour and the warehouse tasting. If you book both, the distillery tour is free. I did not know that.
