Diane & I were fortunate to cross both ways during a National Holidays excusion from Oban to Ft William - we saw the tide surge in both directions, an unforgettable sight!

Just spectacular at the right times of the tides. It would have been lovely to watch from the comfort of the Oyster Inn opposite the falls, but it was unfortunately closed when we visited.

Well, at least we drove slowly across bridge which is one way traffic controlled by traffic lights. 4.2m height clearance. Unfortunately for us in a 7m motorhome.there was no where to park on the Oban side. Also wrong stand of tide. Tide tables are available...More

During our trip, the water was very calm and reflections on the water were superb for photos. It's a stunning bridge with pleasant views. When you come off the bridge, there are parking places dotted around and in one area that we parked, there was...More

Spectacular natural phenomenon visited for highest tide of the year. Parking near the Falls is limited because workers use the small car park.

Happened upon the hotel along an impromptu walk. Checked the reviews and decided to eat dinner. Was told to make reservations, so we gratefully did. Food was excellent! Creative combinations. Tasty. Prepared well. Served well.

There are at certain times of the tide you can see the current ripping through the narrows but you have to pick your time. If you are lucky as I was you might even see a fishing boat running them, that must be an experience.

Free car park at North side A85 by Connel Bridge. We were mid-tides but the waterfall and whirlpool from Loch Etive very dramatic.

A very fast moving river and the whirlpools were very loud. When we were standing on the shore we noticed the tide starting to come in. Ten minutes later it had risen at least two feet! Amazingly fast
