Low tide wonder.

If your are traveling to Siargao, come here. The Magpaponko swimming hole is an amazing place to visit at low tide. the water is deep but sheltered so no waves to worry about.

If you've ever been to a rockpool before, anywhere in the world, then you don't need to come to this one. The water is not that clear, there is virtually zero life in the pool (everyone clambering over what was coral has ensured that), and it's really not that nice. It is a great spot for the locals to come... More

The Rock Pool itself was very beautiful and has an enchanting colour of clear blue(you can even see the small fishes and down the 10ft deep pool)! I was so tempted to jump in but I didn't as I don't know how to swim... Although, the journey to go there is a bit rough. But the view was certainly worth... More

Magpaponko Swimming Hole is best seen at low tide, so keep this in mind. Cost is 50 pesos, person, so it is very reasonably priced. You walk from the beach to the swimming hole across the dried areas/rocks and get to either watch or participate in the people brave enough to jump off of the rock formations into the swimming... Ok, it is beautiful. But it must also said that this is not really uncommon. For the collection of an entrance fee they really should place someone to observe things and to remove people that throw their garbage, drink alcohol (not allowed) or noisify the area. If you're lucky you come on a non weekend with not too good weather,... More

These are tidal pools, available also elsewhere. They charge an entrance fee, what is good, maybe this reduces the crowds coming there. Since we were warned not to go there on a weekend we went there on a normal weekday. Still enough people. Too many actually. They render the place into a mess of plastic dirt and noise from the... This place was really nice to visit! We loved the ride going to the pool, and the pool itself is really nice to visit! Beautiful surroundings and quite of a unique experience to watch the big waves while chilling and jumping in the pool!

If you don't surf in Siargao, you can still enjoy it's beauty by swimming in the Pool Hole near the great tides.

That place is simply amazing. It's one of the top attraction in Siargao Island. There, you can swim in a crystal clear water at low tide only. The Swimming Hole is located in between the rocks offering a gorgeous ecosystem housing a diverse fauna and flora. It's a great place for snorkeling too and it offers a stunning view facing... More
