Truly neat. A very short walk through a cow pasture takes you to this stone monument. Limited parking along the road, but probably not a problem for most visits. Easy to find use the CADW app and a short distance from Cardiff. Well time spent!

An interesting place which I have visited on many occasions as part of longer walks around Wenvoe and Dyffryn. Fascinating history and a wind up information board tells you a lot about the burial chamber.

My friend and I went to both Tikinswood and St Lythans because we like to see the prehistory of the places we visit and this was a good one! There is also a circular feature visible just left of the chamber (when you're facing it).

The website: http://cadw.gov.wales/daysout/stlythansburialchamber/?lang=en explains the parking (2-3 cars only) - I was the only visitor. There is an interesting hand-cranked (to power the playback!) recorded set of messages with a special one for youngsters. The grass in the field is quite long - so best...More
