Great views!

I was lucky enough to have a lovely sunny day to visit Bluff. Fantastic views and managed to get photos by the iconic sign. A must do!!

We saw the sign for Bluff Hill and decided we need to see it. Got up there and did not even get out of the car. The wind was fierce and we could not see anything because of the low cloud cover. The one redeeming thing was the drive down. We could see the water and much of the town.... More

A steep hill to climb from Lee Street off the main road through the town and well signposted but car access all the way to the top if walking or biking is not your preference. From the car park there are a few steps up through a well; guided path illustrated with historic and geological information to the Lookout Platform... More

Follow the long twisty road to the top and the highest point south of Invercargill. The place is very windy so dress warmly. Interpretive panels help you recognize various landmarks. Five minutes to drive up the hill from town. Five minutes at the lookout. Four minutes back down the hill. If it is not a very clear day, it is... More

A short walk to the top of the observation tower from the parking lot. There you get a 360 degree view of the end of the South Island. Definitely worth doing.

If you happen to drive to Bluff, go around Sterling Point and park in the car park. If you wish to walk Bluff Hill there are two ways. You can go right past the resturant and walk up that way. It is fairly steep in places but must people can do it. Further up you walk you walk throught the... More

Staying in Bluff so it was a quick drive to Bluff Hill . Spiral walkway to the top with informational billboards to read along the way. The top provides a panoramic view with a carved stone map detailing the names of all you can see. Lovely stop and VERY windy.

Great 360 degree views but take something warm if it's windy audit can get very cold. Lots of info boards and Stewart Island can be seen on a good day. Check out the anchor as well as the beach combing there can be very good.
