Not the first time that I had been to Stirling Point, but never ventured down the track to the right. Its absolutely beautiful, rugged coast line, huge seaweed and lovely views even if it windy. Just do it

Nice spot, great for a couple of photos by the 'directions and mms' sign but that's about it. The cafe was closed, not much else here really. Nice drive though.

This historic point in Bluff is worth a visit as the end of the road on mainland NZ. The signpost point to a number of significant global points - Hobart included.

If you have come this far south you have to make the effort to visit Stirling Point. The signpost is a bit of fun and the short walk to the pilot's station (not a lighthouse) is worthwhile. The path takes you passed the chain sculpture...More
