So the instructor is very friendly, this place is very very beautiful but I couldn't help but feel guilty after leaving because of seeing how tired and miserable one of the dogs was...he was so skinny, seemed sick and was shaking from the cold. I think this place has a lot of potential if the owners really take great care of the dogs..the instructor did take the sick dog away at the end for proper care so I hope that will help.

We had a great time!!! The dogs appeared happy and anxious to run. The tour started on time and the instructors were helpful and informative. Great experience.

Traveling from the US to Canada for vacation, the number one thing on our list to do was dog sledding. Had called a few places and finally landed a reservation here. It did not disappoint! We booked the hour ride, and i would say that is plenty of time as a first timer.

Quick little lesson on how to "drive" the sled and you were off. Tony our guide was amazing! He let us pick the path, and according to him he choose the "Rock and Roll" path! and let me just say when the dog go, they go!

Once back from hour ride, we were able to go into a small fenced in area and play with the puppies. I could have stayed all day!

A must do when in Quebec! I will be back!

My husband and I visited Quebec City in the end of December with our three boys (9, 11 and 12), my cousin and her boyfriend. Being from San Diego, we wanted to dosage things that we never get to do at home. Dogsledding and ice fishing were both on all of our bucket lists of things to do in Canada. I did quite a bit of research online and called two places before booking Pourvoirie. I decided to book with them because they were about about a 25-30 minute drive from the Old City, the rates were good and they offered ice fishing, dog sledding and snow shoeing all at the same location. I'm so happy that we booked with Pourvoirie! I called directly to book with them and they were very helpful and sent me email correspondence as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful upon arrival and we ended up renting heavier boots for $5. They had all the gear for rent too. We weren't sure if the two older boys would be able to drive the sled, so we opted for all three of the boys to be passengers in the sled. That was a good decision because it would've been extremely difficult for them to maneuver the sled with dogs. I drove one of the boys, my husband drove one and our guide drove one. They give you a pretty quick tutorial and then you're off. It was absolutely incredible! Our guide was awesome and so nice! The dogs were so beautiful and sweet! My husband is a bit apprehensive with dogs and was very comfortable. We booked the 40 minute ride and I'm so glad we didn't book the 25 minute ride because it would've been too quick. We all had the best time and the boys couldn't have been happier. They got to play with dogs and give them hugs and kisses, and take pictures with them. They even got to hold the puppies. So priceless and such a fun experience. We were able to take photos along the way and they do have a photographer that takes a few photos of you towards the end. Once we were done we went back in the reception area had some hot chocolate then walked about 100 yards to go ice fishing. Omg, this was so much fun! The kids had a blast and it was super easy for the kids to do on their own. Again, the workers there were very helpful and friendly. It was the start of the season and we ended up catching 11 fish pretty quickly. You do have to pay for the fish by the pound and you can't catch and release, so we told the kids we had to stop because they had caught so many. They would've stayed for a while. We debated bringing the trout back to our loft and cooking it, but opted to give it to our musher instead. I would've liked to stay a little longer and go snow shoeing, but the kids were starting to get cold and hungry. Our day at Pouvoirie was awesome and completely exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend going there! It was the boys favorite part of our trip to Canada.

My daughter and I wanted to visit Quebec City and try something new. This was it! We did the dog sledding in the morning and snowmobiling in the afternoon. Honestly, both experiences were terrific. Dog Sledding: We had a guide that had his own sled in front of us. He gave very good directions throughout the whole trail. The snow laden trees were so beautiful to view during the ride. The dogs were absolutely thrilled to be pulling these sleds and were very sweet. The only reason for the 4 stars is at the end of the ride we were told to look for a guide to tell us where to "park' the sled. There was no guide telling us where to go...Some chaos began with our dogs getting too close to other dogs and they began aggressively fighting each other. I have owned husky dogs before so this behavior did not bother me too much and the guides carefully pulled the dogs away from each other. Please note: The first half of the ride demands someone to be in decent shape. You have to help push the sled up quite a few hills but then going down makes up for it.
Snowmobiling: The instructor was wonderful for this experience also. My daughter and I have never driven these machines before so his guidance on how to use them were spot on. We were given clear directions on a map on where we could go for a two hour ride. We then took off on our own for a beautiful scenic experience. I would definitely come back here again!

TO SUMMARIZE our HORRIBLE experience. We had a group of 8 people for this activity.
3 people in our group were on the sled for 25 minutes while another 5 were for 40 minutes in which 15 minutes they were just standing and waiting. On top of that, all group was not even riding but just constantly stopping cause everything was very disorganized. Secondly, one couple had to separate and ride separately due to the place not having enough dogs. Thirdly, entire group didn’t even get a chance to switch places so 5 people out of 8 didn’t even get the chance to ride the sled and just sat in there. Lastly, after the activity when i was explaining the situation to the manager Philip he just turned around and silently walked out without even apologizing to us or trying to find any solution. Moreover, when i was talking to JP and Philip there was another couple who were in the same group as us complaining about exactly the same thing i just wrote. Myself and the entire group are very disappointed as this place didn’t provide the full service to us.
Also some dogs were in very bad shape and very think and exhausted. Guides were all very disorganized, very confused and disoriented.
WOULD NEVER DO IT AT THIS PLACE EVER EVER AGAIN. HORRIBLE! Please avoid by all means.

We did the dog-sledding with only 24 hours notice and booked online. This was such a great experience. The two guides were good in their instructions on how to operate the sleds in English. This was a small group and the trip was 1 hour in length, though the time flew by. The trails were beautiful through the woods and the dogs were wonderful, sweet, and amazing. We rented the boots, they were definitely necessary.

Thanks so much for a great experience! I can't believe it's so close to the city as well.

A friend and I went dog-sledding here on a whim and had the best time! We didn't know what to expect, but it was amazing. You actually get to drive the sled and be in control of the dogs! Then you get to sit while the other person drives. THEN you can have quiet time with the dogs and puppies! The people were also amazing and friendly! Loved it!

After new ownership recently taken I am extremely disappointed in how costomer relations or complaints are handled. Not accommodating at all.
