The museum is closed until 2015. It is too bad, as from the past reviews it sounds like a good place.

Location almost center of Mariehamn...easy to go by walk or car....now it was under the construction but i visit there before it...this museum also have other nice castle Kasteholm some 35-45 km away but interresting to see too

The displays and trail to each allows those who go to learn the essence of sea life. One can see and some what feel of around the world tall ships.

I liked the displays of local exhibits, which were well done, and well labelled. Not so keen on the paintings.

The permanent exhibition needs some renewal to attract visitors. Good variety of other exhibitions though.
