Stavkroa is the place to be for apres ski in Hemsedal. If it's a Saturday evening in February or March, you're 23 and looking for the craziest party around, go to Stavkroa. Beer is thrown all over the place, there's dancing on the tables and the DJ is sarcastically trying to educate the inebriated crowd on how to behave. Worth while for older people as well, for a couple of minutes, but head downstairs for the more quiet Stallen when you tire of the fun. Arrive early or be prepared for an endless wait in a loooong line. There's an option to pay for entry and bypassing the lines on an app somewhere, but when you're already drunk it's pretty complicated.…

The place have after ski entertainment but that's not available every week. We went there for some bowling and a meal. The bowling was good, good tracks with all you need in technicalities: fences and automatic score count system. Great! The pizzas were quite poor, the stuffing was very limited and the bread was burned and hard as crisp bread with a touch of burned bread. Good for my diet but a big disappointment as a pizza. The service is great and very friendly. Prices on par with other places in the village: expensive like a Michelin restaurant. …

Unique experience of hundreds folks dancing on the tables! Must visit after an awesome day on the ski!
