- michelle l4 contributionsI’d go again and loved it but wouldn’t pay for photos againLoved it!. My instructor explained everything and they all had a chat and laugh whilst waiting to get in the plane which put us all at ease. Thorough talk through of what would happen and on the way down Aaron was pointing out thing to look at and having a chat to make sure I was ok. I paid for the photos and probably wouldn’t do that again (35 of the 65 were of other people getting off the plane before us, so no use to me) there’s a few I’ll print and I guess if you’re only going to do it once then it’s good to have a memento but it’s a lot of money for what I felt was not many photos actually of my dive. Saying that the bloke taking them was lovely and had a good laugh and put my mind at rest about the jump, he was thorough and kept chatting and looking over but I don’t seem to have any photos from a lot of time I thought he was filming/taking pics.Hi, Thank you so much for your time to review our business. - OutAndAboutGirl5 contributionsAverage experienceDid a tandem skydive in June on the day of the Kings birthday which meant there was an hours delay for his flyover. Would have liked to have been informed in advance as it meant all my friends and family who had other plans for after were waiting and running late. My tandem person was nice and friendly but did keep over explaining everything which I didn’t need to know and it gave the dive experience quite a serious and regimented feel to it. I ended up focusing more on the “drill” of everything and getting things in the right sequence that It meant during the free fall I was focusing more on the instructions I had to follow than actually just enjoying the free fall out of the plane. Would have preferred someone with more banter. Others in my group didn’t have all those things explained which meant they could focus on themselves and live in that moment. I don’t think I was strapped in properly around my waist either and this was evident on the video. The video quality was average, angles not great compared to others videos from different videographers I have seen from the day and the stills were just screenshots of the video so not worth the extra £40. Also there were some parts of my dive that were not on the video. I heard other videographers were encouraging people to make hand gestures and having fun in the air, which I would have liked as it would have made my experience more fun. I enjoyed the day because I was with friends and doing it for a good cause but wouldn’t say it was amazing. Felt like I needed to go back up and do it again, just so I can re do the free fall and enjoy it without concentrating on the drill of what do and when.Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 25 June 2023
- Neil R1 contributionA blast for younger people. The freefall part of the jump was excellent. Unfortunately, when the chute was deployed it felt like hitting a wall. This was followed by a minute of bliss as we glided to earth. Once we started to spiral a little I began to feel nauseous, which persisted for over an hour after we landed. No-one's fault but my own, I know, but it did spoil my experience. Also my neck ached for 24 hours and my chest was bruised from the harness. I might try it again sometime, take a motion sickness tablet, and pad up. Don't know what I'd do about the neck thing though. My daughter jumped at the same time and had none of these problems. She is about 50lbs. lighter and 30 years younger, thoughHi, Sorry to hear this, it sounds most unusual indeed. I will be sure to find out who your instructor was and discuss these points with him Blue Skies Jason.Written 17 July 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 15 July 2023
- Navigate7693371 contributionThird Tandem SkydiveI am proud to say that I completed my third tandem skydive at Beccles yesterday & it was awesome! I did my first two with The Red Devils near Salisbury earlier this year. The views were great on the coast yesterday. Sadly, I'm too old to complete the AFF course in the UK, so I will be forced to venture abroad to Dubai in Nov/Dec to get this done & allow me to go solo. Thanks UK parachuting for a great jump yesterday -Jo Hudson, age 59Hi Great to hear that you enjoyed the third one just as much as your first! Very sorry about the UK law, you seem very keen! We would love to see you after your adventure to Dubai and show us what you've got! - Jyotsna F1 contributionHaving done my first skydiving, am not sure I will be doing that in a hurry any time soon! No other reason then me ???Having had to cancel my first allocated date for tandem skydiving due to windy weather I was able to rebook it for early October 2023 and the weather couldn’t have been any better if tried any other day!! What a beautiful day that was??? Being scaredy-cat of heights I did make up in air and back on land safely and it was due to having a very reassuring and encouraging people, Callum, Tom and my son, who was doing his jump at the same time. Thank you everyone for your support, encouragement and reassurance. Could not have got through without them. Keep up the good work Callum and Tom 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Thanks so much for your reviewing!!Written 22 November 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 October 2023
- Sharon D1 contributionBe careful about paying extra for a higher jumpI got treat to 15,000 jump for my 50th so I bought my partner this for his 50th. Me and my partner looked at the guys watches that said how high you were and it was nearly 7000ft. We got told to move forward to jump out. We paid extra to jump from 10,000 ft but everyone on the plane all jumped out together. As soon as we jumped out of the plane the parachute went up straight away, so no free falling which was a big part of why we paid extra. We felt a bit ripped off and deflated, he had not done a skydive before and I said the free falling is amazing.Hi, You had been purchased a voucher from a third party supplier IE Buy a Gift which sell vouchers for 7,000ft only. This is why the vouchers are so cheap purchasing from this company all UK Parachuting vouchers are from a standard height of 13,000ft. You would of been given the option on the day to upgrade for a further £25 to full altitude of 13,000ft which is the maximum height we fly to. We can only apologise on Buy a Gifts behalf for the mis-selling of said vouchers. Best wishes UK Parachuting.Written 2 December 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 November 2023

I initially had a gift of a tandem skydive with this company through red letter days. The code was redeemed and instructions were sent to the correct email address. I followed the procedure to list all of the details required. A response was never received and therefore I'd expect the company to take ownership of this. This was not the case and no form of reparation was done. To be open and trasparent - This experience was requested to be booked in the start of 2018. I redeemed the code in time and subsequently sent the email in time with all of the required booking details. I was told there was an onus on me to ensure that the companies communication department responded to emails which I find absurd. Granted that I raised this issue in 2023, the fact there was a mistake on your part in 2018 (which I can undoubtably prove through my emails and which they wouldn't accept) is not removed by a time frame. The onus should not be on myself to chase you to ensure you respond to emails. You failed to respond and book me a slot and shifted the blame onto me for not following up, which is absurd. I aknowledged I could have followed up, however that does not excuse the incompetence of no reply. They would not honor the voucher and would not offer any discount or compensation whatsoever. I understand my situation is niche and unlikely to come up often. Notwithstanding this, I feel strongly enough about the lack of ownership and responsibility to make this review.

Hi Zac,
You have purchased a voucher from a third party supplier IE Red Letter days and there policy on vouchers is a 9 month validity period.
If you were gifted the voucher in 2018 to 2023 is 5 yrs if you had tried to redeem and jump within 2018/2019 we would have honoured the voucher as per the RDL and UK Parachuting terms, and not 3/5 yrs later.
As you can see with the 2000 reviews plus on Trip and with over a 40yr trading history of sport parachuting in the UK we are not in the business and causing any unsettlement with our customers.
Best Wishes
UK Parachuting.

Me and a friend did the parachute jump for her 30th Birthday and honestly what an experience, the flight up and realisation of how high up you are dawns on you greatly but once in the air and the doors open the only way down is off the plane. My instructor and videographer were amazing, so informative, reassuring and such a friendly pair. My instructor particularly was an absolute god send obviously because I’m here to tell the tale but most importantly for explaining each process and being thorough in talking me through what was happening etc. I said I wouldn’t do it again initially but on reflection if I could jump with the same instructor and videographer i would. Ironically, I felt safe with my instructor and that put me at ease. P.S if you scream during free fall you can still be heard 😂. Big thumbs up to UK parachuting for the simple booking system, updates and resending of documents. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much to my instructor/jump buddy and videographer!!

It was an amazing experience from start to finish, it was like being part of an extended family for the afternoon, made to feel very welcome, and at ease. Our first time jumping and everything made clear. Cant wait to jump again..or even learn to jump solo!

Something I’d always wanted to do, Was made to feel at ease by Steve, was briefed and in the air in no time, it’s definitely a well oiled machine, the actual descent was amazing and finished off with some great spiral flying through the clouds and back to the ground.. highly recommend this school and will be returning for another go soon.

This, for me, was the most exhilarating experience of my life. Steve, my instructor, was patient, personable and fun. Plus, pleasant legs to sit between and hands to put your life in. Very professional. Just want to do it again now so that I can take it all in properly.

Did a group charity event here! Skydived once before but Yolanda and everyone in Suffolk centre made it so fun.
They were so helpful and friendly. Yolanda really went the extra mile to make the jump a once in a lifetime experience.

Did my skydive as a 60th Birthday treat and had Yo (Yolanda) as my instructor. She was brilliant, her instruction allowed me to be so much involved with the actual mechanisms of skydiving. Definitely will do another jump. Both myself and my son had a great time. Thanks to everyone at Beccles

Can you use your own Hero camcorder during your jump?

Hi Denis, sorry for the late response unfortunately our association the BPA do not let student skydivers skydive with any other equipment that is not supplied by UK Parachuting.
Would u recommend the experience to someone (myself) who would really like to try it but is absolutely terrified at the same time...? :)
