Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We had a wonderful family boat trip on the river Waveney today, which would not have been possible on a regular trip boat due to mum's mobility
All the crew looked after us all so very well, providing information along the way and tea and coffee for our picnic, which we have all really enjoyed. Thanks to you all 😍

I've done 2 trips with The Waveney Stardust. The first trip was July 2023 that I organised for my residents in a care home and the 2nd trip was August 2023 with family. Both trips were absolutely amazing and the whole team are so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They will accommodate your needs and the trip to suit you to the absolute best they possibly can. Whilst on board, they provide hot beverages and they all have extensive knowledge about the routes, wildlife, location etc. The trip itself is extremely smooth running with the team working extremely well together, you can see they know what they are doing. We stopped for lunch at the Waveney River Centre, whilst we were there it started to rain & one of the crew brought us some umbrellas so we didn't get too soggy walking back to the boat. When I say they are accommodating, it's an understatement. Thankyou so much for 2 wonderful trips. We will definitely be back. If anyone is considering using this wonderful service we have, please do not hesitate. We are extremely lucky to have an accessible boat available.

Had a wonderful day out with my craft group.
The boat is perfect for those with mobility issues. The lift onto the vessel gives accessibility for all. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. They made our day out perfect.
We will definitely be cruising on The Broads with them again.

My (almost) 80 year old mum thought she'd never go on the Broads again, since her stroke. Then our friend booked the Waveney Stardust for a group of us, and my mum was thrilled! Mum can't do steps, but there are none, and a lovely safe lift to take you down onto the deck. Thank you for making mum, and all of us, so happy! The crew were lovely, and so knowledgeable! It was an amazing, relaxing, day and we can't wait to book another trip! Thank you!

Had the pleasure of taking a river trip on the Waveney Stardust (caters for people who are elderly/disabled/special needs) which was skippered by Richard, Gary and Gerald who were great hosts.
What a lovely day we all had and can thoroughly recommend this trip.
Many thanks from an appreciated over 55's group from Hoveton.
Hopefully, will be returning next year.

Wonderful day cruising from Brundall. The volunteers maning the Stardust and providing sustanence were brilliant. Lots to see on a gentle cruise along the river. Lunch moored up on Bargate broad/Surlingham, spot the fantastic wild life. Thankyou to crew for a lovely day of memories.

We were made to feel so comfortable and were so well looked after. It really made my mother and father in law’s anniversary so special. Thank you!

Lovely day out for all the family young and old.
We booked as a birthday present for Grandpa with mobility issues and cruised with 3 generations. 15 - 86 yrs age range! It was very relaxing. The volunteer staff were extremely kind, informative and flexible. We enjoyed quality family time and would highly recommend.

Level access from the staithe to the stern of the boat & then a hydraulic platform down to the cabin. So no steps getting on/off the boat & the cabin is also on one level. Toilet on the boat also wheelchair/disabled friendly.
Gentle cruise from Beccles to Oulton Broad where we moored for about an hour whilst we ate our picnic lunch. Followed by a lazy pace back to Beccles.
We were lucky enough to see 3 kingfishers & a marsh harrier.
Weather was kind to us & the volunteer crew were friendly, helpful & more than competent.
As Ratty said to Mole, ''Believe me my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats''.

Dear Richard,David, John and all the boatyard support,
We want to say thankyou all for giving up your time and energy to take us all for such a lovely boat trip on the Waveney Stardust. We had a great time with you on the water, looking at the beautiful scenery and seeing the other crafts as you so ably piloted us up and down the river. (Shame one of us missed the kingfisher!!)
You kept us all entertained and educated - and made a lovely cup of tea!
We look forward to joining you again one day.
With very best wishes from the whole Ferguson Family

Hi, I am organising a day out for the Bury St Edmunds U3A Travel Group on Monday August 5th, based on Beccles. (An area I am not familiar with). Although all our group are retired, we are all pretty agile! I am researching various river trip options, and would like to know what you can offer - timing and costs?

Hi Christine, I’m sorry for the delay in replying to you, but our Summer schedules have just been posted onto our website. Our boat leaves from Hippersons boatyard which is just off the Beccles bypass. The information is on our website but if you would prefer to speak to somebody, please ring Alan (one of our volunteer skippers) on 07747 334973.
The cost per person is £15 for an all day trip or £10 for half a day but please chat to Alan who will be more than happy to help you.
Thank you for your enquiry and I hope we will see you this summer.
