This small town's hidden attraction lies under the old market square. It is hard to believe that the excavations provided shelter for the poor for hundreds of years in the Middle Ages. The tour and the town are well worth an afternoon visit.

An informal little tour that's well worth doing, What a way to live. The young lady who was the guide pulled no punches describing the living conditions of these poor peasants. An unusual glimpse into fairly recent deprivation, oppression and squalor....I'd go again.
