Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The visit of this castle is free of charge and it is a nice spot (when you find the way in) so do not hesitate to take a look. 15 minutes are enough.

The boy and girl scouts were doing the tours - they really do a fantastic job if you are lucky enough to get them. Interesting historical monument which underlines the beauty of the arab influence in this whole region.

The Castillo de Vejer is a nice place to visit while wandering the old alleyways and streets of this beautiful old village set on a hilltop. Superb views and a glimpse of history ~ if only its walls could speak!

Outside the height of summer the early evening opening hours give you lovely low sun to light your short wander around the ramparts and views across Vejer. It’s free to enter and magnificently tranquil. No audio guide, no tour guides, no information boards... just free access to this monument to times past.

Admission is free, but visits are often organized by the town's scout group. We had a small guide from the village camp, who showed us the castle perfectly. He knew the story perfectly. Both she and her companions were showing the castle to all the tourists who came to the place.
Inside the castle there was this exhibition.
