Driving on narrow & winding roads in Norway is an experience in itself. But driving on this road was something else for us. It was a bit narrower and steeper than other roads we had driven until then during our trip. It was nerve-racking and...More

Visit this place, either as a short excursion from Aurlandsvangen or stop on the mountain road between Aurland and Lærdal. It may be at its best on a rainy day where you can see layers of clouds in the fjord or may be on a...More

It is a major attraction built in a small town like Flam. It is undoubtedly beautiful view of the Aurlandfjord. It is a well organised trip and extremely innovative. The tour is conducted by Flam tourism. The road up to the point is very steep...More

We hiked up to the vista point, and went out to the bridge...as stupendously awesome as everything that is Norway! We even saw a couple get engaged! BUT THEN we continued beyond up to the top of the mountain. The view was even more spectacular....More

This view offers a grewt view of the beautiful Aurlandfjord. A 15min drive from town and there is a parking at the viewpoint and also toilets. If you continue the road towards Laerdal, you'll ride one of Norway's most scenic routes. A must!

Stegastein offers stunning views on Aurlandsfjord area - crystalclear water, high Mountains. Unfortunately its crowded with people, small place where you wont find even a a bench. Several meters lower - along the Road theres way nicer place to sit and observe the fjord.

The lookout is beautifully constructed and overlooks a stunning vista, but make sure you come on a sunny/partly cloudy day so that the view can actually be seen. We came on a rainy day so the fog was overing up almost all of the view

Many people do not feel comfortable to drive up to there, but you can attend a tour, total ~90min, 30 min up 30 min down and 20 min at the outlook. It was a little bit overpriced (325KR), but the view was really good. It...More

We were staying in Aurland, so this excursion was an easy trip for us. The drive up is interesting and I'd recommend going early in the morning as the road can get crowded. Plus early day sun is gorgeous from up here. The fjord view...More

Road is pretty narrow, rather drive there early morning or later in the afternoon so it is not that overcrowded. Lookout is very nice with many parking places.

We stayed in Undredal which is about a 15 minute drive from that area, just past Flam. This is a small town on the edge of the fjord. Such a great little town with an amazing view!!!! We stayed in a little house owned there... More
